Ok so this just happened and I thought I should share it.

I wanted to open up a SMART client to do some testing, so I just opened up a random script and pressed play. I left the username and password as they were because I was planning on logging in manually.

Next minute:

Wtf? The amount of times I have left my username as 'username' and password as 'password' and never have I ever been logged into that account :l

10 years old damn! LOL that's pretty nice though.

What was really weird was I tried to login to the RS website using username and password but it didn't work? I had to validate my email in-game and then change the pass via my email. Weird.

Some poor kid somewhere is devastated that his 10 yr veteran account got hacked. inb4 jail.

Yea 52 days ago. When I registered my email to the old account somehow the account got duplicated, so now I've got the old account (which I login to with the username), and a new account which I login to with the email address I regestered to the old account. Both have the same password even though I only set the password on the old account.

Now that you have a 2nd account you should keep that one and give the 1st one back to the original owner so you both have one :)

Not sure if many of you noticed, but the username of the account isn't actually "username." It is "usernameuser." So that explains why nobody else has got it, and why you couldn't log into the rs website, gotta read more carefully ;). But that is awesome dude! Plus the 10 year cape!!! <3
