What is your general programming knowledge?
Minimal, I have submitted scripts back in 2006 for SRL. I made a powerminer, but don't have any current scripts. Looking into the new coding requirements and features to do so.


Are you a member of any other communities?
None at the moment. SRL is my primary forum.

I have ran a runescape website called Run3h4x.net from 2006-2008 for runescape related material and help. I have been around SRL for a long time. I am looking to develop a new script after understanding the new scripting features.

Please show us one (or multiple) of your scripts.

If you still believe you have what it says you need you can try to convince us :)

Considering there is no recent contributions (nothing to show any code from you), and you have failed to show even a single small script in this application, I have given it an easy No.

You said your self that you can't really write scripts (just a few days ago)…

as stated in my PM back to you. I'm not very interested in why you voted yes(i mean, i do care, but i'm not trying to hold you accountable). I am interested in you giving your valuable feedback and reasons to the applicant so they can learn what standards we have.

I voted no because the applicant doesn't have a script. It is a rule that you MUST apply with a script. That is an automatic NO. The only SRL members that didn't apply with a script were auto-membered for other SIGNIFICANT reasons.
The script is supposed to be in the application. I wasn't able to find it in 2 seconds upon clicking the link so I assume it isn't a script he is proud of.

I voted no because the applicant hasn't been highly involved with the community recently.

I hope the applicant applies again in several months with a lot more investment :)

Thanks for the feedback. I figured it would be a NO, but was worth a shot. Currently enrolled in college taking some web design classes and learning html5 and css. I have made scripts I could probably dig up the old autominer I made if that would help? Just like I said not familiar with the new releases of simba. I was making it was still just SCAR.

Sadly I don't think it would make any difference to the outcome :( Scripting is only part of the application. As mentioned above, community activity/contribution/attitude are also taken into account. I'd suggest converting that powerminer to SRL6 and get some feedback on it :)

Not now, but with a couple weeks of an hour or two in the evening (maybe more because it is addicting to script) you could be a member in a month! (With good forum activity as well ofc)

Don't take it too hard, I failed my first app (sounded like mostly activity based) which convinced me to be more helpful around the forums, and tried again 2 months later and flew through it. And there are many among us who had several previous apps (including certain people who have commented prior to me).

I almost failed my second (Got in by one vote.)

Keep your head up, script away, and apply again.

You didn't quite make it this time. Don't give up. The main reason is that this app lacked a working script utilizing a recent version of SRL. Also your activity was a tad low, SRL member is also a community rank. You may reapply in 4 weeks.
