SRL Archive - S.M.A.R.T.

Hey guys, im back and ive seen there is a new smart client out, well i updated my pc recently to w8 and idk what the issue is ive never had a issue before with simba since the whole time ive been with community till now. im starting to think its to due with win8 compatibility issues. well okay here is my issue:

------ smartPairToExistingClient(): result = false

-------- HINT: Make sure you can reach the RS website, and no active firewall is blocking Simba
-------- FATAL ERROR: Failed to grab parameters
-------- Freeing the minimap mask
Successfully executed.

I seem to cannot properly spawn a smart client no matter wth i do. ive literally sat here for 3 hours now banging out these nails and i just cant get the last one in. if anyone here has a solution to this so i can properly spawn a smart client again and continue on with setting simba back up for osr-07 that would be great. otherwise i guess i will degrade my bios and go back with w7 till i can figure it out.

I'm using W8.1 and it works fine. Can you load RS through the RS website (and are your graphics settings correct) ? Do you have java installed correctly? Have you installed simba to a location other than C:/ ?

Make sure you are running Simba as Administrator

dudes, i believe its compatibility issues with w8. i fresh installed a new bios, it gave me same errors via. log and i reinstalled yet again doing a complete wipe of all partitions and now it is running perfectly fine. lol.. dafuq?

*edit* also i copied and pasted my simba and i reinstalled my jdk/jre the same so i know it wasn't user fault & set the paths the same.

*edit 2* since i don't wana DP funny update is my simba>SRL is empty so i cant put the login, smartparams, and global lmao. oh geez why me this night lol? i cant get osr-07 to work all i get is a duplicate AdDTM errror. i can play rs3 fine and load a client but if i try in anyway to get osr-07 i cant do it. :S please help
