SRL Archive - Celebratory Events

Hi,

I have now been registered for more than two years! Unfortunately I am not posting this on the exact date like last year.

What has happened IRL..?
I've passed all exams of the first year and achieved my Propaedeutics diploma. Other than that I was one of the "winners" of a competition and I'm now developing an app where people can set personal traveling goals. Such as, travel to work with the car a maximum of three times a week or take the bicycle to work atleast two times a week, etc.

Other than that I've passed 16.500 downloads with an app I put in the Playstore. The first semester of this year I got 12 out of 15 study points so I will need to redo one exam this semester. Other than that I'm on track to graduate without a delay.

In the beginning of next year I will need to do an internship for half a school year. I'm trying to find something abroad.. We'll see how that works out next year.

I also moved out of house last month. Just 10 minutes on my bicycle to university now :) I do have to cook and clean myself though but overall it's really nice and gives me extra freedom. I also switched to a MacBook Pro 13" Retina so I can learn to develop for iOS. And I just love technology.. much better battery life as well.

What has happened online?
I became a Senior SRL Member somewhere in this year :norris: Other than that I've been acting more like a Senior member as my scripting activity has dropped. I've become more interested in other programming languages and other subjects than RuneScape.

I plan to rewrite my GOP script for SRL 6 one day. I've mainly been looking around on the forums but I haven't posted that much. But I do look around almost every day. Around 500 posts this year, I had 1000 in the first year. Let's hope I'm not dropping to 250 posts next year.

See you next year!

You old timer you!

Congrats man and great post - great to hear you're doing well. And the new house looks great; you did a good job with it.

It seems like you've been around for much longer! Nice to see it's going well for you IRL as well; congrats man!

Wow that looks really good!

I just got the 2 year icon too!

Congrats man!
I'll be at two years soon also. ^^

Well congratulations JJ :)
I'm also coming up to 2 years :P

Also @Justin; where is this man's old timer cup? :p

Thanks guys! SRL has the best community by far.

Congrats JJ, things sound as if they're working out for you :)

New rule, SSRL need 1 script per year to keep their rank ;) Keep them leechers coming.

@Mat; You're part of this ;)

Do I get in? I joined because of the botnuke but was a little cautious with sites I hadn't heard of pre-nuke so joined a month or so later :P

Congratz man! Glad to see your doing really well in life (from what I've read it seems like you are :p)

Other than that stay active and make sure you update your script!
Other than that don't let your posts drop to 250 next year.

Other than that…

I'm making a point here, you literally raped the phrase 'other than that' :p

Hopefully I'll hit the 2 year icon soon too, though I have been inactive for the past year which is a real shame :(

Congratulations on two years, and great job on all of your real life things!

I like your living place too :)

Oh yeh, I forgot to mention that pic of your room gave me a HUGE boner, I nearly poked my grandmas eye out…

Haha yeah my English sentence building could definately be improved.

Thanks for the other posts :P I really enjoy my new place as well. It's actually shared with one other person from the same study and year. There is a loft as well with has plenty of space. But the ceiling is only 6'6" right in the middle and I am 6'5". So I can only walk in the middle if I'm not wearing shoes.. My room mate is a bit shorter than me though. He has his bedroom up there. My bedroom is behind the door that you can see on the picture.

There are two desks in the living room so we study there together. Plenty of space for both of us and a really nice landlord. He even paid for new laminate, paint and some other stuff!
