Just wondering if anyone has had success loading SMART in another language? I'm curious about getting it running in C#.

Well, SMART is just a dll that simply has to be called from any given language. I know it's already been done on the .NET framework before as well, so C# should be a pretty simple include.

I understand that SMART is a dll, but what I'm asking is have anyone successfully used in another language (sometimes that just can't happen).
You say yes, would you happen to know where I could find an example/source/tutorial/anything? I'm used to using documentation rather than blindly attacking libraries.

It has been successfully used in another language by a few people. I know there is no tutorial (at least here on villavu), however I can name a couple people with the related experience who may be able to help.

@Dgby714 probably just because he does all sorts of amazing things all the time ;)
If not him, then I'll try talking to the one I know did actually work on it and see if he's willing to offer public help.

Hehe, actually I have done it in Python, just look at SMART's exports here and how SRL6 does it here.

If you need anymore help after that, just message me or see me on IRC. You may even be able to staticly link smart into your program if you're smart enough.

You can see a Python example at this link. (not mine)
