SRL Archive - Bot Information and Spottings

Hey guys, been nearly a year since I've even bothered to log into Runescape, or been active in any of the botting communities. Used to be relatively active on here, Nexus, RSBuddy, Rarebot, Powerbot, and the Shadow Scripting forums, but with the release of EOC, couldn't be bothered to stay involved in the game. Well, today, I decided to log into my old main, and am contemplating getting back into Runescape.

I visited some of the old injection bot sites (assuming that's what they are still using), and noticed a flood of posts regarding recent bans, and bot detection. So just curious if you guys could sort of fill me in on what's going on with bots currently? Have Jagex finally implemented some sort of detection? or is it still as laughable as before?

its pretty serious now.. but the banrate here on villavu is way lower than sites like pb.
oldschool runescape is safe to bot on

I started a bot up (stupidly and using pb), went to their forums 2 hours later, saw that there was a high ban rate, went to go turn it off, and I was banned. Member for years, 7 year old account, not even gold farming. Macro major

Yeah, doesn't sound worth the risk. You been botting at all with SRL? I plan on legitting quite a bit (always did before, more or less just used bots to run services for others, or when I was AFK - dat xp waste bro).

I've gotten 70-99 firemaking, and 70-95 fletching with SRL so far (RS3), just take that into consideration. I wouldn't goldfarm though, they seem to be really serious about that.

Bots will bounce back eventually, we just have to tough this out first. If I were a bot developer I'd accept this as an opportunity to learn even more rather than getting used to the same old stuff and not progressing.

I've done a lot of legit work lately on my current account, and I'm thinking if bots do make a come back I will be a bit hesitant if I should even bother getting back into it again and risk my account. Already lost an account earlier this year when the mass bans started. :(

What's going on with OGL bots? Any progress made? I remember there was a lot of talk about them around the time I kind of bailed out on RS and the botting scene.
