Wheat

Because the lumbridge event requires wheat for rebuilding and it is slow to gather near lumbridge, many players are buying it on the ge. Prices are pretty high.

I timed one lap of this (banking at the GE, picking wheat above cooking guild) and it took 2:00. So you can do 30 runs per hour, and at 28k profit per run that's 840k gp/h.

Not bad for something without any requirements :p

Yes, F2P and no requirements. As for the demand, I'm assuming until the event is over but it could be sooner.

Just checked, and the going price for a bushel of wheat is 39gp. Spike didn't last long, I guess?

That's just the listed GE price, the real price is higher. When I sold them for 1k each the listed price as still 39gp.

I can't find a date anywhere on the RS website, so I'm assuming it hasn't been announced.
