How big would my power supply have to be to run two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125441
I already have one of those but I am considering a second for BF4. Could you please recommend a Powersuppy (Aussie Sellers preferred such as www.PCCasegear.com.au)
I currently have a 550 watt antec.

It also depends on your CPU, Hard disk(s) and other components, please post your whole setup :)

Edit: I wouldn't recommend using two different video cards in SLI, but it's possible when they have the same GPU and vram. AFAIK.

- Intel i5 2400k cpu 3.4ghz
- Windforce GTX 660 ti
- Asus P8Z77 - M Motherboard
- 550 Antec power supply
- 2tb HD + 1tb HDD (No SSD)

- Stock CPU Cooler

at least 700w, 750watt will be easier to find since they usually round

yes, they just have to be the same, as in both 660ti's in your case

higher clocked more gb ones downgrade to the lowest one, example:

card with 4gb mem + card with 2gb mem.. is 2x 2gb mem cards, which is only 2gb total that will be used (since both cards use their memory)

1100mhz + 1000mhz both cards gonna be at 1000mhz.. etc etc

as long as they're the same card, the brand doesn't mean anything except the cooler they put on it, the paste they use & the stickers on it..


and aerocool doesn't make good psu's

Yeah please don't buy a cheap PSU, it's not worth it. After all it's the most important part of your computer. If it breaks nothing will work and it can even destroy your other hardware.

I see them over voltage tons & tons and tons and tons and tons & tons of times, and destroy everything on the machine, it's sad.. makes me cry

just tiny too, like 0.1 or so over volt can fry graphics cards etc

What country are you in? Thermaltake has been known to be the worst in PSU's for the past 5ish years, so even if that is an ok one from them, I wouldn't trust it.

The thermaltake? it's not about failing, it's about over volting, computer parts.. when you overclock lets say, put out fractions of more voltages. If the power supply isn't efficient it will do this on its own. Therefore, while overclocking is a very delicate procedure.. you don't want a shitty PSU putting out wrong voltages all over & messing your overclock up.. the result of this is randomly it'll push out lets say 1.45 voltages instead of 1.43.. and lets say your component gets damaged after 1.44 so someone has it right at that line, well, every once in a while the PSU is damaging your component.. this gets worse as the usage goes up, heat goes up, percent of total output goes up (all of which, come hand in hand, while also effecting performance separately.[ for example a hot room will make a PSU perform worse.. however, the PSU does get hotter when its usage goes up, obviously])

That's every PSU, of course.. which is why you go for the best ones, the brands that are known to never do that, in all of their PSU's.. not the brands that have 1 gem out of 50.

I understand that, but if you did have a bad PSU, it would be safer not to overclock and just stay stock.
