A little help with hooking 07scape

I have some experience with game development with OpenGL and with DirectX, and the runescape client seems to rely on either of those things. My target it for the Windows Platform (98+) and the language of choice in C++. I've also brushed up on some of my old books and re-learned function interception/injection on the assembly level, so I'm ready to go.
But here's the problem. I can't quite find the dependency for the 07scape client. My goal is to hook the graphic's API and via DLL injection and intercept target functions's calls to derive information on the models/calls. It's easy enough to do on RS3, because the dependencies are obvious. It's in the %USERPROFILE%\jagexcache\runescape\LIVE directory. The oldschool client… not so much. I've fired up DisplayLoadedModules and again found no such luck on finding the dependent API.
I know it's possible, however, because I've seen TriLeZ managed to do it in his TriBot. Does anyone have any advice?

RuneScape introduced OpenGL/DirectX (RuneTek 5) on 2 September 2009.
2007scape does not use OpenGL or DirectX so you can't hook it.

Trilez has only hooked OpenGL for EOC RuneScape. He hasn't updated it for RS3 yet, unfortunately. It's a shame there are no OpenGL/DirectX bots at this moment. Perhaps a few private ones but as far as I know there are no public ones.

Tribot uses reflection in 2007scape for everything.

So what are your options?
- RS3 OpenGL hook
- RS3 DirectX hook
- RS3 Javascript hook (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106015)
- RS3 WebGL hook

I think Jagex wants to convert to HTML5 over time so your best bet would be hooking WebGL. A downside is that you can't just load RS3 HTML5 version in a JFrame or Form application. So you would need to go with the Java version but I think Jagex will eventually drop it. But that's going to take a few years and RS might go extinct before that happens.

Ok. Thank you very much.
I'll get my rusty Java book, then. This is turning out to be pretty fun. I love challenges.
