SMART 8.3 can never "ready" in SRL6

Hey guys,

I get the strangest graphical error in Smart 8.3 with all the new simba stuff. You can see an example here:
http://i.imgur.com/gKoHwhz.png

Because of that shearing at the top, the game never readies the client, and I can never do anything.

Any clues why? I'm on a fresh install of Win7. I had 8.3 working with just Brandons GLX plugin, before SRL6 came out.

Thanks for any help.

This error does not appear in the regular client, ONLY in smart. and only on OpenGL, resizable or fixed, doesn't matter the game resolution.

Update: These pixels at the top…appear to be a duplicate of the bottom few pixels. As if I move my mouse to the bottom, a bunch of white dots appears at the top.

If you are using the SRL 6 include, you will probably need to be on safe mode etc.
If you are using OGL include, GL_RSReady() works for me.

Hey Riwu, I am using the SRL6 include, but Safe Mode is not an option for that. The script I'm using to test is just this:

program new;
{$DEFINE SMART}
{$i srl-6/srl.simba}

begin
clearDebug();
setupSRL();
end.

For the first time ever, SRL no longer requires a fixed screen size and safe mode. SRL will now work on any screen size, and in OpenGL graphics mode — it does, however, require a specific interface layout.

Oh you no longer need safe mode. But it says u need a specific interface layout. Check http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105997 to see the required interface layout (i haven't been bothered to read it since i'm going to stick to ogl include :p)

Done all of that =P

Correction. It uses OpenGL colour ONLY plugin. It does not have the hooks or anything. Just a plugin that feeds colours to smart and provides the necessary system to paint on smart and interact with Smart's buttons..

yeh include uses ogl mode colours right? :p
Are they the same as safe mode?

Yea but, how do I fix the error at the top stuff? :( it won't work without it.

Well I myself is learning the difference in the SRL-5 API vs. SRL-6 API. Yeah I learn fast but I'm not a robot lol.

It seems to be working fine.. on the login screen..

{$DEFINE SMART}
{$include_once SRL-6/SRL.Simba}

begin
SetupSRL;
ClearDebug;
writeln(isClientReady());
end.

However, it seems to only work on the login screen and not while in game.. perhaps it looks for something specific to the login screen?

Ah so you get the same issue? It won't ever "ready" if it's already logged in?

No sire. We do not need that.

(*
isClientReady
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.. code-block:: pascal
function isClientReady: Boolean;
Returns true if we are ready to auto (on loginscreen or logged in).
Useful for waiting until RS has fully loaded.
.. note::
- Last updated: 22 July 2013 by Coh3n
Example:
.. code-block:: pascal
while (not isClientReady()) do
SleepAndMoveMouse(100 + Random(500));
*)
function isClientReady(): boolean;
begin
Result := (isLoggedIn(true) or lobby.isOpen() or __setInputBoxes());
end;
As a side note.. why!!!!! Please.. tell me WHY?! we kept the comments the same? These comments are HUGE and ugly! =(
Comment alone is 3 times larger than the function :l
So uh, how come mine never comes up as true?
I solved mine:
{$DEFINE SMART}
{$include_once SRL-6/SRL.Simba}
begin
disableSRLLog := true;
//disableSRLDebug := true;
smartEnableDrawing := true;
smartClientWidth := 1350; //Must be the width of your Smart.
smartClientHeight := 670; //Must be the height of your Smart.
//If the above are smaller that your ViewPort, it will NEVER find your minimap or
//any other interfaces.
SetupSRL;
ClearDebug;
writeln(isClientReady());
end.
Note: It is BEST to set the width and height to your Smart's screen space.. Aka size of your Desktop viewport aka
Width := desktop_resolution.width.
Height := desktop_resolution.height - taskbar.estimated_height.
if you are unsure of what to set. The above is just a rough estimate.
If you must know, the documentation is formatted as such because a doc generator (Sphinx, I think) is used to produce what you see at docs.wizzup.org
also, isLoggedIn() attempts to find the minimap if we're logged in, make sure nothing like the xp bar is covering it.
