(SPS-OSR) Simba 1.0 Access violation [Lape]

Ok so I've updated SPS-OSR to hopefully run in Lape and Simba 1.0 but even after having updated everything with the newest SPS plugin I'm still having "Access violation" errors when trying to use SPS.

ExceptionType is not supported in Lape
ExceptionParam is not supported in Lape
SPS_GetArea ERROR: erCustomError
Exception in Script: Runtime error: "Access violation" at line 613, column 20 in file "D:\Simba1.0\Includes\SPS\SPS-OSR.simba"

Line 613:

SPS_BitmapToMap(tmp, SPS_Accuracy, SPS_AreaMaps);

I thought the new plugins (having been compiled with Simba) would have fixed this problem but evidently not. Any suggestions why this is still happening? Using the newest Simba 1.0, plugins, and SMART 8.3 (if that matters) and running in Lape. I've already set full access to the Plugins folder and Includes folder and given Simba full administrator rights. So I'm stuck here.

Edit:
Uninstalled all Simbas I had previously and started fresh, same issue.

off topic: is sps still needed?

For the same reason SRL is still needed. Even for those who will use Simba 1.0 via Lape for RS3, they'll encounter the same problem I have now. And what if, one day, we no longer have the ability to use Reflection; what then?

@Flight;, @Olly; was missing with SPS with Simba 1.0 and SRL-6 last week I think. He may know how to get it working. I'll get him to check this thread.

Wizzup for a short time didn't have the extensions updated, have you updated srl (for plugins) recently and tried again? Because it works for me currently.

The newest I could possibly find, no luck so far. Could you send me your Extensions & Plugins (atleast just the SPS plugins)?

Thanks for the reply. Although unfortunately I'm still having the access violation error for SPS only. I'm going to try one more idea before I give up on SPS.

:s So the plugin I sent you doesn't work…. Very weird.

Correct. Just tried a fresh install of Simba 1001 on my C drive, both with it's stock plugins and the ones you uploaded; "Access violation".

Have you yourself actually gotten SPS to work with Simba 1.0, on OSRS, and using Lape / SMART 8.3?

After installing Simba 1.0 and realising it is not OSRS friendly i decided to revert back to an earlier simba and SMART 8.2, everything works fine other than SPS inwhich i now get the same access violation.

I find this confusing considering i kept my previous files just incase something like this happened :(

I don't get it…

We ran into a similar issue a long long time ago. IIRC, it was something to do with the plugin's code. I wish I could remember exactly what it was. @Flight; you didn't install the 64-bit version of Simba, did you?

I remember this as well, which is why I was under the assumption of having compiled the plugin with the newest Simba would do the trick, but I guess I was wrong. Believe me I've tried everything I could think of.

Unless I've converted SPS-OSR incorrectly to Lape, but I don't see why that would give Access violation errors. Most of this was just updating the TMufasaBitmap function names used.

Did you change any of the SPS code? If so, post it. Actually, just post the code you're trying to run (including the code in SRL-OSR). I doubt it will make a difference, but maybe something will jump out to someone.

SPS-OSR.simba
Smart.simba (Brandon's example Lape loader for 8.3)
Graphics.simba (From Brandon's GLX include, required for Smart.simba)

Okayyy, let's do this..

The result created by GetArea was never created

function SPS_GetArea(Area: string; surface: integer): TMufasaBitmap;
var
x, y: integer;
S: string;
begin
SPS_GetAreaCoords(Area, x, y);

case surface of
RUNESCAPE_SURFACE: s := RUNESCAPE_SURFACE_FOLDER;
RUNESCAPE_OTHER: s := RUNESCAPE_OTHER_FOLDER;
end;

result.init(client.getMBitmaps());
result.loadFromFile(SPS_IMG_PATH + s + Area + SPS_IMG_FMT);
end;

And well, it works for me. :)

also, GatherMinimap and FilterMinimap can both be put into one function and be made perfect by using the minimap mask. :D

function SPS_GatherMinimap: TMufasaBitmap;
var
tpa: TPointArray;
begin
result.init(client.getMBitmaps());
result.copyClientToBitmap(client.getIOManager, true, MMBox.x1, mmBox.y1, mmBox.x2, mmBox.y2);

findColorsBitmap(bmpMinimapMask, tpa, clBlack);

result.drawTPA(tpa, clBlack);
end;

Stuff…

You just made my day, my friend. So 2 lines is what gave the access violation error:

result.init(client.getMBitmaps());
result.loadFromFile(SPS_IMG_PATH + s + Area + SPS_IMG_FMT);

Problem solved, I owe you Olly.
