SRL Archive - News and General

Hello fellow SRLians, I managed to get my account back after the password reset thingy and decided to checkout the forums again :)

Could someone quickly run through what has happend since like may-june with both SRL and Runescape? I know that RS3 is released and they are apparently banning bots :O

I saw also a OGL script in the members section so I guess that Brandons plugin is working :)

Well you pretty much summed up what happened

RS3 is released and they are apparently banning bots :O

I saw also a OGL script in the members section so I guess that Brandons plugin is working

Most bot clients are apparently getting detected (many reported instant ban by just logging into the client), botting with Simba and SMART remain safe as usual though. Yeah OGL is working great, most basic functionality are already there (models, textures, fonts) though nothing much in the include so you will have to code most of the stuffs yourself (though coding numbers are really easy…)

Welcome back :)

We are anxiously awaiting SRL6, as it will be updated to work with the new interfaces. Many of us have modified enough of our SRL5 to be able to run most scripts and have been botting since the interface update. Most people who have modified their SRL5 have not made their updated scripts public because it's annoying to help inexperienced users update everything on the SRL side. That is why we're waiting for SRL6 to start making script releases :)

And OGL worked well for me pre-rs3, but I'm waiting for SRL6 to try it out again due to all the SRL5 customizations that I've made.

And of course, welcome back :)
