I'm new to scripting and I wanna learn the language and how to do it. Is there a thread someone can direct me to so I can learn from the very start?

Sjoe already gave the path to where you can find tuts. I'll give the tutorial that made me do my first steps on programming:
0-Some people may, normally, not get the main concept of programing right after using and reading someone's else script. If that's your case, look at the tutorial forum that Sjoe gave the link of. If that's not you case, do this:
1-download someone else script and use it. Then, according to what the script does for you, try(yes, just try) to read it. Get the main concept of programming, it's just using a language that has many logical markers which you dispose in a way that your computer can read.

Your going to have read some tutorials mate and practice what you learn also try to think of more ways to use what you have learned will help you understand and embed it into your brain use your imagination.

But by far the best thing to help gain experience here is to have a incentive a reason todo it in the first place without that people give up quite easily or learn very little except how to copy and paste.

Try to set yourself small goals ie scripts to make start small make some basic scripts ( powerminer, alcher, teleport caster, superheater) after that you should have picked up the basics next would be to now upgrade those basic scripts for example make the superheater an AIO I also made mine hope locations . Add random walking to the alcher. Add walking and banking to the powerminer. Yet again use your imagination here.

Good luck on this mate and I promise with a little dedication you will be writing great scripts in no time.
