I dunno if it's just me, but i've supported Jagex all throughout RS3 and EOC and always looked forwards towards their updates.
However, recently i've barely logged on, only for Ports, maybe spending about 5 minutes on RS a day.
I dunno the reason but it's most likely that since Divination came out, I felt a little overwhelmed about having to grind and simply chose to say 'screw it'.
Anyone else? :s

Personally for the last 5 months i lost motivation, but that was cause jagex announced new skill coming out.

I was close to comp cape, figured no point getting comp then having it taken away right away, so i just stopped playing.

I only started playing again right before new skill came :P

Everyone goes through the phases at different times of being bored, or not having motivation to do something on rs. Just depends where you're at in the game and whats happening for you irl. Usually when irl>rs. You get bored of rs.

Well tbh all i've really been doing when im not on the computer/and or outside is studying for Math and reading Manga…
So guess I just grew out of RS..

:/ sucks, Im kinda there too. All i do on rs is afk stuff on my second monitor…Im more into programming and things along those lines. even though i have ALOT of free time.

I think all the people getting banned and as a result alot of communitys going quiet along with new skill being afk and not really interactive has really put a "depressing" Atmosphere around rs atm. Hopefully it changes soon and something cool comes out.

I was excited for the new skill and i decided to bot it. I got banned and now i see how boring it is.

Its a normal gathering skill, and one with pretty good benefits at that.

Along with it being faster then most gathering skills (can reach easily over 100kxp/hr buying energy).

Jagex told us it would be a "tame" skill, one to setup the new age of runescape, and compliment the upcoming skill that will use energy to make things.

People just expected something like dungeonering. which was a very social/interactive skill.
Divination is the opposite. Afk and anti-social

Meh well, I came back to EOC and it was alright although I disliked a lot of the changes I got into some botting and playing legit. Then my members ran out and I slowly stopped getting on, and then I stopped playing EOC for like a month then RS3 came out… so only logged on to RS3 like twice because CBA to get used to it. Don't feel like botting because theres not much for a f2p main to bot without getting banned + too many annoying unofficial fixes -.-

My intrest is long gone. I sold my main a few months ago and I never legit anymore. I want to start my farm up again on a bigger scale so thats what is keeping me logging etc

I was starting to lose the interest to even bot also, but then a new script was released at about the same time as Divination, and so I used the new script for OSRS and started botting Divination too.

Well, my main was banned. That really makes you lose motivation to ever look at anything Jagex related ever again.

Agreed, Ive only been coming on to do ports and spins every day. Been like this since 'RS3' came out. It ruined it for me… no idea why. Maybe once SRL6 is finally released ill have ambition to play and script, but as of now.. meh.

I haven't been bored of RS so much as bored with the players. I found a few new players to hang out and scape with and I'm back to enjoying it again. We are all legitting 99 Div and have a little competition going. We are all also Comp capers, so that keeps us going.

I got bored of playing runescape part way through 2011, then came back in the summer of 2012 and realized that it was still boring. I had some fun watching bot killing videos though so I tried that myself, but Jagex had made it hard to kill bots so my curiosity led me to research botting and after a little while I found myself here. Scripting has really been the only thing keeping me logging into runescape for a while now. I guess as a F2P I'm less affected by divination because I'm already maxed so I don't feel pressured to train it.

Ha … I remember when Dungeoneering came out and everyone was pissed because it wasnt actually a "skill" it was an activity/enhanced mini game. I do feel some sympathy for Jagex … no matter what they do they wont please everyone and for all the time and effort they put into game updates its gotta be a bit discouraging.

I am with SIN though … mostly because of lack of time but still … I only hop on for POP nowadays although not sure how much longer I will do that since I have everything upgraded and unlocked all scrolls and armors.

Neither, I don't do clans. I had a friend who introduced me to the group, and we have done nothing but skype and Divination since it came out.

Ive started playing a little a day mostly divination till i cant stand it anymore

I've lost interest in Runescape, and most of the forums I usual browse.

I don't post often anymore. Gonna try and script again see if I enjoy it still.

I've lost interest in RS as well, all I really do is bot to train pure and occasionally when I'm bored I'll go pk.. (07) Botting > actually playing in all other aspects.

i was really going for maxing my account and then got bored and counldnt be bothered to bot … picked it up again about a year ago and again have got far too bored to bot. also cant play on the xbox for more than 15minutes without getting bored now :( tragic because i want to want to play … lol

the free time i have now is just split between the gym and (learning to) developing apps :/ its a fun life.

Sounds perfect to me. I want to build muscle and learn more programming (since I only know Pascal atm) :'(

yeah its not as bad i may have implied, i enjoy what i do alot … but you know at the end of the day when you have an hour or two going spare, i look at my xbox like "i want to want to play you but … i really cant be fucked" … hopefully destiny will get me back on it when its eventually released!!!

its weird… I've been looking for an 'excuse' to stop playing in my mind. All I really wanted was a phat… So I was like, hey Ill just pvm vorago until I LSK a wand or have enough from ffa splits. Then bonds came out… and I've just lost all motivation. I mean if jagex is basically 'oking' real world trading, then I really just want to buy one and leave the game for a very extended period of time. Kind of depressing, but that's where I'm at right now.

OSRS FTW, main reason why I play because I like PvE and skill farming… i'm not staking so I earn my money by using mining,herb,wc e.t.c when you find a fun clan what does PvE runescape becomes more interesting IMO

I still have a little of interest in RS… Though, what really makes me still play it is programming… Apart from that, I think I'd just move to another game…

I've been through that stage too many times, Runescape (like WoW) is one of those games that you play for so long and just get bored of and quit for a while but after a few months or a year you always end up going back just to see what is new or something will draw you back into it.

I've been playing RS since early RS1 and I have quit numerous times. For me I enjoy making bots solely because there are always new methods of making them coming out or new interesting deobfuscation methods. There is always something that will catch your attention if you let it.

RS3 is dead to me, and 07 is getting so boring.. Idk what to do anymore.

I mean I do playing runescape but I never really do anything but skill and do other things at the same time. I do however find a decent amount of enjoyment in playing oldschool.

I've pretty much given up on RS. My school is taking up way too much time for video games, and school is more important than games.

I lost excitement when EOC came out.

The game itself is very boring to me now. I play mainly for people and the clan i'm with. Botting makes everything easier too. :P
