Hey Guys,
When I attempt to change SMART to OpenGL mode, I get the following error:
SMART[74828]: Internal color data capture disabled.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I have Simba Release 1000, Smart 8.2, The OpenGL Plugins. I can use OpenGL in my browser in Runescape with no problems. But if I try to change out of safemode in SMART, I get that error.

Try to make sure to load RS outside of smart, so that you know the default loading game mode is OpenGL Mode.

I have done this, and it does the same thing.
It defaults to the Safemode graphical settings, and runs that error when it starts up as it tries to load into OpenGL, and fails.
It simply states, RuneScape was unable to enter that display mode. When I try entering DirectX or OpenGL, but only OpenGL gives that error in the CMD.

Do you have an old graphics card? If you can't use OGL in the web client then maybe check if your graphics card supports OGL at all.
Also try deleting all the temp files that Jagex puts on your computer that save your graphics settings.

Wait on Benland to make the dev version of Smart official. Otherwise you're going to have to add JRE to your path.
OpenGL with or without the plugin will NEVER work without JRE being in the path first.
With the dev version of smart, the first parameter is the location of your Java/JRE. This allows Smart to load into directx and opengl without the need to do any path crap.

Hey Brandon,
I have added the JRE/Bin path to my PATH variable already. But I get the same error. Are you saying I should add it into SpawnSmart in the SmartParam file under the first ''?

Hey Ian,
My browser allows me to play in OpenGL and DirectX. Just not in SMART. My computer is plenty powerful to load it.

Yup, It is most definitely in openGL, as that same error that occurs when I attempt to switch to OpenGL, the one in my original post, appears in the smart CMD window upon loading the game. It did not happen when I was in Safemode before. So it's definitely TRYING to get into OpenGL

i had this problem when i first tried but as brandon has stated use Benlands dev smart you will have to compile this for yourself of course which brandon has made a thread already awhile ago with detailed instructions of how todo this but im pretty sure this useless to you atm as there are no scripts available.
Link for instructions on compiling smart
