SRL Archive - Research & Development Lounge

Hi all,

My name is m0u53m4t, I was active script-writer on SRL back in 2007. 6 years later and with a degree in computer science from Oxford (much inspired by these forums and the RS community) I am back and was wondering if there are any exciting problems or projects currently on the go.

I'm not very aware of the state of the botting community any more and haven't logged into RS in many years but if there is a fun open source problem I can pitch in on that would be awesome. I'm very flexible on languages and am competent in anything so long as it has reasonable semantics.

Any advice or suggestions on where to get started?

well rs3 came out and srl is still outdated for that. maybe you can help with that.
also reflection for oldschool runescape came out for smart 8.2

SRL-6 is something most of us (even members) don't have permissions to work on quite yet until it's official release. Updating SRL-5 to work with RS3 is possible, but will quickly fall to the way-side as SRL-6 replaces it fairly soon anyway.

Reflection for OSRS, however, or OGL for RS3 are both possibilities that could be worked on though! And welcome *back* m0u53!

Dang very nice degree from a very respectable university!
Not sure what needs fixing but check out the dev on srl-6.

I'd check out reflection, if you know anything about that.

Obviously there's always room for new innovations around the community, so if you do have some new tricks in your mind how some things could be done easier/faster/better, then feel free to contribute!

With Delphi/Pascal knowledge you could dig around these sources:

SRL-6
SRL-5
pumbaa.dll (Upcoming project, which is currently developed by me and @warpie)

If you would solve the randoms and make it so you can counter them, I'd love you so much
