Proxy Support

At the moment I have to load Simba through a VPN since I am at a residential college that employs port blocking + proxies.
It would be great if Simba and the extensions through it could have support for the systems' proxy settings. It would be even nicer though not necessary if everything could be routed through Port 80 or use Https (443).

Im not sure whether this is an extension issue or a Simba issue or an SRL issue. The updaters can't get a response and the Simba news upon start up is redirected.

have you tried?
SetProxy(client:longint,pHost:String,pPort:String);

edit: Sorry, didn't read all of your post.

Maybe port forwarding would help if only outgoing connections are filtered.

I didn't know about the set proxy function. What do you mean by this Dgby714? perhaps an option in the simba preferences would be good? Thanks

You can use that method to tell certain methods like GetPage and stuff in Scripts to use a proxy, but it won't affect SMART or any of Simba's other internet stuff.

Most schools give you the option to contact them with your MAC address and register it as a gaming computer/console which should give you free reign to port forward as needed.
