SRL-6 Army Files

Using Simba 1, SRL-6, Smart 8.2. On compile, I get this error:
HINT: Make sure you create an army with the player manager (SRL > Open Player Manager)

I understand that the player manager is not implemented yet. However, I'm wondering if there is a template for the xml file it is looking for:

<army>
<player>
<loginName>email@somedomain.com</loginName>
<displayName>My Screen Name</displayName>
<nickname>MainP2P</nickname>
<password>password</password>
<bankPin>1234</bankPin>
<location></location> // What is this used for?
<isActive>True</isActive>
<isMember>True</isMember>
<findMod>True</findMod>
<findTrade>True</findTrade>
<reincarnate>True</reincarnate>
<secureLogin>True</secureLogin>
<world>114</world>
</player>
</army>

Unless I missed an announcement, SRL6 is not ready just yet. This might mean it may not compile. Also this post is in the wrong section, this section is for people to post snippets of code that the made for others to use :)

location stores the location, in a string variable, of the last know state of your player.

for example, I think in the srl-5 includes, the players type (remember using this in DeclarePlayers() procedure?) held a string (in addition to other variables) and could be updated when attempting to login. So, to further explain, the players[0].loc would be, perhaps, filled with a message saying the player could not login due to x reason, and I'm guessing in srl-6 this is saved to xml (probably optional). In my opinion, not too many newcomers use the locations string in their scripts anywho (at least from my script look-overs of users scripts that I have read).

That's my understanding,
Lj

LOL. I'm sure that YOU did not miss an announcement. Since I've nothing much better to do, I thought I would play with what is available. As for where to post such a question, I am not sure which sub-forum would be the correct one. Though I would appreciate knowing so I can make future posts there.

I did not understand the usage of this property in SRL-5 either, so I (as a noob) did not use it. The property name seems more geographical to me than state-ish, but I can see how it might be used to convey such info. Thanks.

Okay, I will push this tomorrow morning. This is no longer used. I stopped with army files on request by Olly.

e:
What this is. Well with SRL 6 comes the SRL 6 player manager and utils. These are made to save account data such as username and pass on your computer. There is an option for a very safe encryption for the ones who prefer some secure feeling there brother,nephew or 'friend' can't access/copy the file and steal all your passwords.

I was at my cottage for a few days so it's possible ;)

If your question is botting-help related, then here: http://villavu.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=489

Personally I'd recommend waiting until SRL6 is released to start playing around with it, that way when you have questions about it there are more people who can answer them. Also SRL6 is probably still going through changes fairly fast, so it might be better to wait until it is more ready for general use :)

That is a shame. I rather liked this idea. Many good pros to it and I cannot think of any cons except the time it will take to code the utils.

I had no illusions that I would come up with some super script while waiting for a "final" release of SRL-6. I just figured that it would be coming out soon (in a relative sense), and I could mess with it, get a feel for lape, work with the new directory structure, etc. Plus, it gave me an excuse to download Simba 1, SMART 8, and look at Brandon's GLX release. ;)

BTW - It does compile and launch SMART. Very nice so far.

The army idea in this form is dropped. Not the idea itself. There will still be an XML file with all playerdata. But it will be only one. And there will be no armies.

Conceptual change. K. Thanks.
