Who am I?
Well since you asked you shall receive.
Where do I start?
I'm currently unemployed after spending many years and countless hours working/studying to become and electrical engineer.
I was only 6 months away from finishing and becoming qualified when I made the decision to resign due to a severe argument with my boss that simply could not be resolved.
I have spent the last 4 years of my life doing everything in the electrical industry right from the pure theoretical side ranging from design of complex robotics right down to basic relays and switches and all the physics and mathematics in between. I have also done 4 years of hands on fabrication and building and performing maintenance of these very circuits. this work included working with variable speed frequency inverters, programmable logic controllers that ran of many different types of languages ranging from "rung and ladder" to written languages and right up to high voltage switching wiring with rectifiers. I also did a fair bit of data and communication systems.
A lot of the machines I worked with were very complex with adjustments required to the mm of products moving through at the very slowest 10M/s this of course is where a large part of my fibre optic experience came into play.
Well that's all well and great some say but what are you doing now?
Well during my time in electrical engineering I developed a love for IT. I would spend hours of my own time delving more and more into using and exploring the potential of the very systems I used to create. (I was never allowed to play only the bare minimum must be learnt!!<–partially why I quit.)
So I decided to "piss into the wind" as it were and make the decision to jump shi and enter the IT industry.
I have recently (mere hours ago) finished applying to universities looking to do a bachelors degree in IT.
I am awaiting responses and now for the first time in many years I have some time on my hands to do as I wish.
So why am I here?
Well I have played runescape off and on since I was about 10 years old being 19 not (yes I started doing electrical engineering at the age of 15) more off in the last 4-5 having discovered women and delving more into work and sport. (I love playing union and MMA training with the occasional spar)
Now making the decision to jump back into the IT industry it simply gives me an excuse to get all nostalgic and start gaming again. since I notice the release of RS3 (what a graphical change!) I decided to pick it as my game of choice.
When I was playing back in the day as a young child a remembered being very confused and frustrated by macroing with SCAR (had a bulldozer icon if my memory serves me well), looking back I recalled a scripting community and figured that that would be something not only fun for myself to do but also beneficial in my my newly chosen field of learning.
After searching the web for scar I found simba, had a laugh to myself a decided to join the forums.
My intentions here are fairly simple, be an active member of the community and learn to script along side my other programming endeavours.(quite fascinated with python and the C based languages as of current)
My spelling is not always of the highest standard and grammatical errors may be frequent while conversing with myself however I'm sure you'll learn to overlook those flaws and get to know me quite well.
I'm an outspoken intelligent human being capable of critical thinking that has little to no hesitation of speaking my mind.
I rarely have a go at individuals with ad-hominem attacks however I will take the time to intelligently and politely debate what I perceive to be a flaw in ones' logic.
I absolutely love my marijuana I am a huge advocate of legalisation and smoke it for a combination of medicinal and recreational purposes and support the science behind the facts and education of the public on the topic. (not sure why but I threw it in there its part of who I am I guess, outspoken and such forth)
Not overly sure of what more I can write, however if you see me about on the forums feel free to say g'day and I'm al struggling with grasping something please don't hesitate to take the time to help me as it won't fall on deaf ears.
