This is going to be a long event and I wonder if someone would
be able to make that kind of script.

Could you describe more about it than "long event"? What does it have to do, what does it gain, how long could it possibly run for while still gaining bonuses?

The event will last after 2 months, you have to join one of the two factions, and to collect divine tears - fragments of condensed, Guthixian energy that can be gathered through combat and skilling, both on the battlefield and off.

They say ''Skilling'', but this is very simple,
you have to click on a green ''crystal'' and wait(collect), and you can click on an other.
This is a war between Zamorak and Saradomin, the more you get it helps a faction and you
can gain rewards, like armors, lamps, titles…

Is there a limit to the amount you can collect?

3000 per day.

3k per day max for P2P, F2P is lower.

What do you gain by collecting them? Do they stack? Do you have to turn them in somewhere? How long does 3k take?

Armour, drinks, weapon overrides, upgrade your token, and emotes. They do stack so you don't need to constantly run back and turn them in. When you do turn them in, it gives you renown equal to tears collected. Don't know how long the 3k limit takes, but I've heard its something like around 5 hours.

Well considering that the Battle of Lumbridge has only existed in RS3, that would be a correct assumption :)
