Well that's an interesting error. I suggest restarting your computer.

Edit: Because the dll is having trouble loading, it looks like a pairing issue with a conflicting and other process.

I will give that a go as soon as I get back to my computer. Thank you for responding. :)

Alrighty, so I rebooted. Same issue! How odd is this?!

Alright, I got 8.2 compiling now…but the smart window pops up, then instantly shutds down, and I get a Failed to pair, no client thing now.

i was missing an additional '' in SpawnSmart thing.

Any ideas why it can't pair?

Update:

The smart window pops up and says:
<code>
Exception in threat "main" java.lang etc etc : smart/Main:
Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
at java.lang etc etc
Could not find the main class: smart.java Program will quit.
</code>

It appears to only happen with 8.2

8.0 seems to load fine..

Post these errors on the 8.2 thread there's a good possibility it could be a bug

I'm feeling like it's an issue with my java? Maybe I don't have the right version? I have both 6 and 7 installed for 64 bit. And I have the BIN directory as a variable setup in windows for the 7 bin. I'll post there though.

8.2 isn't perfect yet and it is possible that some rare bugs occur.

I posted in the 8.2 thread, maybe someone will know in there.

You're right, it's definitely a java version issue. Likely just it is defaulting to java 6, maybe because it's earlier on your path. Run java.exe -version

Hey Benland! Thank you for the reply. This is the output I get from Java.exe -version

C:\Users\serajin>java.exe -version
java version "1.7.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)

Also, these are my system variables for the variable Path.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client\;C:\Program Files\Intel\iCLS Client\;%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live;C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\;C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT;C:\Program Files\Common Files\NeatReceipts\Drivers\M12\;C:\Program Files\Windows Imaging\;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25\bin;C:\MinGw\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin

I kept adding java paths. The JDK and MinGW were installed when I was trying to compile 8.2, before I saw it was already compiled on the forum. Then I added jre7's bin when it wouldn't open. Then I added jre6's bin when it would not open.

If I remove the path for jre6, it does the same thing with launching, and gives that same error.

I got it! I installed Java 6, 32 bit and it started working with that.

Odd huh? the 64 bit version wouldn't work at all.
