Rant. Took 15 minutes to load up.. and then i start walking around and see it takes up 30% of my cpu and 1.4 GB of ram (gf gold farmers) on min settings(java)
I don't think i'll be able to go back to the game.

It works really fast for me, low cpu power taken but it keeps disconnecting that I can reliably do anything…

Playing in-game didn't really effect my CPU more than the previous Runescape but the amount of memory RS3 chews up is incredible. I'm able to run Fallout New Vegas at full graphics and HD textures patch for much less RAM than RS3.

Dont use safemode. Simba and SRL is going to run in OGL at min settings. Try that mode to get a realistic feel of how performance will be in the future.
Also less gold farmers is not a bad thing at all. They have kind of ruined the game since free trade.

You'll get used to the interfaces the same way people got used to the last interface updates. Also I expect they'll iron out the memory & CPU issues as they monitor people's usage stats

This might be the BBQ Pit, but that doesn't give either of you excuses to act like little kids and start insulting each other. I don't know what caused the rift between you both, and to be honest I don't particularly care, but seeing you two always having digs at each other across the board is getting old and is also pretty damn annoying. Grow up.
On topic: I don't like it one bit.

Running decently quick for me. The new interface is pretty challenging to get used to but I love how customizable everything is within it. :)

The game was extremely laggy and disconnected often at first, but I think that was because everyone was logging in to see the new Runescape and it was overpressuring the servers. It runs fine now, I haven't had any problems after the first couple hours of RS3's release. As for the interface, it was confusing at first, but that's only because you didn't know it yet. I spent some time and found that it's actually a great improvement (not so much for scripting, I have to say). You can go to the settings and customize it 100%. There's also a preset to look just like min EOC layout. I've heard a lot of complaints, but after a while most people I talk to like RS3 a lot. I don't think scripting will be possible for me anymore, I was having trouble just getting the mouse to move…
