Why do people hate Freddy1990?

Curiosity has led me to ask this question. Can anyone clear up the history behind this? Was it something to do with the migration from SRL-forums.com to Villavu.com? or the migration from scar to simba? I don't personally know much about Freddy1990 except he created SCAR.

I have many more questions.

Never even heard of him.

Uhh I think freddy1990 wanted to keep scar closed source and [wizzup?] didn't, so [wizzup?] made simba (and kept simba open source) and they split. but i have never heard of anybody hating him. Now a days he lurks on freddy1990.com, he still up keeps scar. Most people now use SCAR for unrelated RS things(they do not have a up-to-date include except for 2007)

Nobody hates him. Wizzup and Freddy just have different views on botting. Wizzup wanted SCAR to be open source, but Freddy wanted it to be closed.

I don't think anybody hates him. AFAIK we all still hold an amount of respect for him. I think the disputes with Freddy came only in the last couple of years, and if I had to guess I'd say it's partly due to "heated discussions" between Wizzup? and IceFire(Wanted). In either case I don't believe there's any tensions between SCAR & Simba nor the owners of each program.

Wait, was this "IceFire" banned and then his name turned to WANTED or was his name already Wanted? Because I have seen a couple people with changed names after their banned (older accounts)

EDIT: I think his original name was IceFire903 from a little research

Seeing it's also from a forum I think very, very lowly of, I at least personally wouldn't pay too much attention to it. I'd even go as far as think they're upset because the new SMART that will come with Simba is so much cooler and they can't get it, they're now spreading FUD. But that's probably far fetched. ;)

What about that?

From what I understand Timer had some maturity issues, what happened with IceFire908?

They (Freddy, Wanted and Timer) are pretty close, from what I can tell. Wanted started developing a new include for SCAR Divi, named OSI (Official SCAR Include) and for the RS2 part of it they copied some (a lot) code from SRL. Things got ugly and now we have a "license.txt" file in our SRL-5 folder to prevent things like that again.

From what I can remember, there was no hate. It was simply that Freddy kept the SCAR source code closed, so they made Simba.

As far as Timer and IceFire go… that was a different story. Timer did have some maturity issues IMO

Simba itself only started because Wizzup? disagreed with how Freddy ran things, and things only got worse from there.

It's funny how some small tug on the consciousness grid dragged my perception over to the SRL forums for the first time in several months to find this thread

For the record this community, SCAR, amongst other various related things have shaped the path of my actual life and I'm doing very well to date

Needless to say, all of this, is no longer important to me… although I do enjoy stirring up a bit of curiosity which is probably why I was disliked by some of the people here especially your leaders.. not to mention the fact that I directly threatened this entire website's existence simply with competition.

Like every government there are coverups, lies, deception, and manipulation. Don't believe me? This post will most likely be deleted within a few hours of me posting it.

Kaitnieks invented SCAR. Freddy continued it. Source was closed. It stayed that way. A new open source project tried to replace it and in my eyes was never successful at doing so.

SRL was made, time passed, it went inactive, things needed to be done.. even more so to adapt to changes simba introduced. Few were capable. I branched off and stuck with SCAR. A lot of the founders of SRL weren't present to weigh in on these changes disputes happened over the rights to methods, codes, etc. you can find records of that here scar-divi forums /osi-suggestions/435-helping-you-credit-anonymous-scripters … or here web archive scar-divi forums /osi-suggestions/435-helping-you-credit-anonymous-scripters incase the site is down do more research for yourself villavu forum/search.php?searchid=241162

Timer didn't like this, and loved to troll. Easy to understand why people didn't like him.

Investigate and decide for yourself

If you have any questions for me you can always reach me on the scar-divi forums

"In my eyes" success is subjective in some cases I suppose.

It's all in the past I suppose. Simba has an active community and has come along way since those times. SRL on the other hand

I've never hated anyone online. But some people have been very annoying. Freddy does not have this honour.

I'll quickly summarise. We (not just me) created Simba out of pure agony; and for fun:

SCAR had previously been developed by Kaitnieks, who became inactive. SCAR needed a new maintainer. Unfortunately Kaitnieks chose a single (at that time very young) person, Freddy1990. As SRL has always been a community project with no real place for people who work alone, this eventually became a problem. At first, SCAR became more buggy under Freddy1990's control. Can't say I blame him, new codebase, not a lot of experience yet, etc. Anyway, communication became an increasing problem as Freddy didn't really want to cater to our needs - he wanted SCAR to grow way beyond SRL (it's main user base). At some point it became quite unbearable - probably due to immaturities on both sides. Anyway, this went on for some point until Freddy decided to make his own site with his own forums - and to eventually find his own community(I don't think it ever grew beyond a medium size, still hasn't). At this point, we started working on Simba. The idea was for it to be a community project, just like SRL - anything could be done by anyone. It took us quite a long time to get a release ready. Eventually it worked out, and we announced it at Christmas. At this time we already had a hidden section for a small group of Simba testers.

Of course, Freddy didn't take lightly to this turn of events, and he isolated himself even more from SRL. We pushed to make SRL Simba compatible and aimed to eventually drop SCAR support. Why? Because there was absolutely no reason to maintain it for SCAR. Period. One SRL developer didn't take lightly to this - IceFire908 - now known as Wanted. He felt that he was the main person working on SRL (statistics do not agree) and decided to (eventually) copy the entire SRL tree and rename it to OSI; OSI would be a SCAR-only include.

However … he removed nearly all of the credits while still keeping most of the code. This is the truth. OSI at the time also had some overlap with other SRL developers who were invited to join OSI. They didn't, and instead showed us the development the way OSI was doing it. (Copying our code without permissions, taking out credits - OUR WORK)

Eventually we got Wanted to give us some credit. And at some point - a long time after he stopped working on OSI (since very little people worked on it), he apologised.

No, there's no real hate. But some people have been annoying. It's just been a part of us growing up. Recall that we were around ~11 years old when we started. Yes, flames have been thrown around in all directions, but this is not uncommon for any internet community really. We all take some blame.

I've still been wanting to at some point drop (and drink) a crate of beer in Freddy1990s direction for being such a stubborn bastard, and I haven't been in the neighbourhood.

Timer is an entirely different story. To be honest, he's not worth my time. It's a long story of anti-Simba and anti-Wizzup FUD campaigns, and it's mostly just boring and annoying. He's been consistently pissing on all of us for years, probably because of his situation in real life, whatever that may be.

Freddy, if you read this - mail me and I'll personally bring you that crate of beer. ;-)

During the time this took place (obviously things have changed) there were stability issues, functionality, and performance concerns on more of the rarely used aspects of the product. As far as main stream was concerned they were two very similar products. However in more complicated applications the differences can be astounding, both in subjective and non-subjective aspects more blatantly put subtle differences in timing and methodiation that aren't necessarily better or worse that have huge transverse affects verses things that clearly have some major differences that affect performance or something else important that isn't subjective.

It would take me a long time to outline and detail enough examples to make a solid argument and would be completely pointless considering both products have changed massively since the time of the split but for explanation all quote some differences that the DTM system had. When finding rotated DTMs the function process that simba had worked in different ways than the system in place. DTMs were searched from left most angle to right most angle where as SCAR would search from the inwards out and area tolerance was actually area fill tolerance meaning it had to fill the box entirely instead of have one pixel inside of it. Is this the best example? No.. clearly there are problems with using this and it would be unfair but if you apply what I have just described over hundreds of possible scenarios with different functions you can see where problems would arise in advanced application dependent scenarios.

This is complete bullshit. I was the only remaining active developer. OSI was not a copy of SRL. SRL contained code from various people there were a few discrepancies with people that had no say in the matters taking place in present day. The SRL 4 log is gone. Almost all of OSI 1 was new code with a few exceptions discussed to threads I have linked. SRL is still in shambles in my eyes. Present day OSI does not resemble SRL in anyway.

I have nothing more to say to this as it's an obvious attempt to control the perceptions of your members and disregard actual truth.

As for the *really* old svn, I think Dankness lost that when I didn't have control over the server yet.

Ok. I want legitimate and concrete examples of how SCAR was better when it came out, AND examples of what makes it better now? So far every concrete thing I've seen was in favor of SIMBA with simple yelling and insulting in favor of SCAR (which i suppose says something about the community, although nothing about the application itself).

On a real note:

The Form Designer was pro.. The FindBitmap Mask version was excellent. Sorta found bitmaps by shape. Like it used to find coloured images on screen given a black and white version; aka a mask. Simba's doesn't actually work at all. Oh and don't forget the syntax highlighting. Scar's syntax highlighting > Simba's by far. Same with the default editor font. The documentation and tutorials. You'd have to have used both to really know. Things changed now I guess? Dunno. Now there's like Scar 4 and Simba 1.00. Tbh, Scar4 is actually something I want to see in action. Now I just calmly wait on Simba updates. Not much changes in Simba though.

@icefire; I remember a "ton" of commits to the SRL-4 include by you. Then timer came out with some reflection include. Can't remember. It was all .txt files.

lol'd, if you really want SCAR's syntax highlighting, Simba has the option to use the same colour scheme.

Also, no Simba doesn't change much because we only have two maybe three people who actually do work on it, and from them they are mostly inexperienced (Me included).

Other than that those two or three people have lives to attend to, it's not like we can spend all of our time on a volunteer project.

From: I lol at goats
The link doesn't work… it probably works for you because you're server/IP or whatever.

Your comment is pointless… and I can see how you would perceive this as pointless when you're just a goat.

You know I honestly wonder sometimes I really do especially with a response like that.. but it doesn't matter because anyone with half a brain can see right through it all.

Things have changed a lot since then. I'm not here to have some big simba SCAR debate, that's for another time… but I'm sick and fucking tired of people saying I stole code from SRL.

@Those who do claim so…. I obviously didn't so stfu, prove it, or gtfo.

Still banned from these foresaken forums

Proof of all of which doesn't exist because lies

Thanks :)

It took me a while to understand the name "i lol at goats." Now I'm under the impression that the diction of your area refers to goats the same as mine refers to sheep. Which is odd due to the nature of each animal and me not quite believing you understand everything you're stating. For example: I do not mean to be a grammar nazi in any manner, but the consistent misspellings, stream of poor grammar, and absolute lack of reasoning behind your arguments is quite astounding.

You even had people that were in no way against you, that you immediately turned against you by insulting them for no real reason.

The following is so reminiscent of the arguments I have with my 7 year old niece. She knows she's wrong, but she's too stubborn to admit it, so she just starts yelling and throwing a temper tantrum to distract from the source.
@Those who do claim so…. I obviously didn't so stfu, prove it, or gtfo.

I'm fully willing to compare original source codes to pick a side however, if you are willing to show dated code from that time?

I don't get why simba and or srl would t be as good as scar or osi… I mean we recently just produced the first month long progress report in the history of Rs botting. If it wasn't as good in the past that's fine and who cares if some guy supposedly stole code without creds back in the day, look at where the communities are now

We only really care because he's come back after being permanently banned to insult the entire community, despite repeatedly saying that he was completely done with us. He has a habit of absolutely refusing to let anyone else get the last word in, and would go so far as to post in already closed threads just to get the last word in when he was still part of the community.

There is no need. Everyone from back then already knows he had the most commits and code written to the include. Not sure why they said he stole it :S There's threads that already mention him having written the most code and commits. I think even Timer's old RRL threads still exist.

@Dbgy.. I already know you have a life. Not implying you didn't. Point still stands. Freddy has a life too; Scar4 still a big change. Doesn't it say something though that even though Simba is open source, no one wants to develop for it. Then, what was the point of fighting scar and Freddy for open source if there's only 2-3 developers who are "inexperienced" as you say? When those developers leave, what happens to it?

@Senrath
It's funny how some small tug on the consciousness grid dragged my perception over to the SRL forums for the first time in several months to find this thread

That's why he replied no? Mentioning anyone from Scar is going to get them to reply especially if someone from here sends them a message there or if they just happen to see it.

Anyway.. Point of the thread is already derailed. Wizzup said he doesn't hate Freddy.

Well… saying that no one wants to work on Simba is no more true than saying no one wants to work on SCAR. If it was also open-source, could you imagine many people jumping at the opportunity to help develop it? I imagine very few people would volunteer, and even of those people I'd say a higher number of people would much rather work with Simba simply because of our larger and more active community. I'd also like to believe that if more people had the knowledge & ability to help work on Simba they surely would.

Open-source, in this case, is worth discussing because if it came to that point Simba will still have the ability to be maintained by whomever wished to do so. If all of the current developers simply stopped the project, it will remain open for anyone to work on. And luckily we have, while even just a few, multiple members who work to maintain Simba; the chances of Simba surviving are very high as opposed to a situation in which Freddy vanishes.

Generally when someone is banned from a forum, mentioning them doesn't get them to register a new account to post about how bad the people on the forum are.

@Brandon: I doubt the mask finding is substantially different, since we coded Simba to be compatible with SCARs functions. I'm quite confident that the mask finding worked identically. If not, tough luck. Maybe if you ask Freddy to share his secret you could restore compatibility… And yes, Simba is not as active as it once was: 1) It's quite feature complete and stable 2) I have mostly moved on; I have a ton of other projects, some similar in size to Simba. I can only maintain and work on so much. ;-) There's plenty of people working on Simba though! More diverse than ever before.

FYI: There's a huge amount of big changes piled up for Simba 1.0, and they're definitely still coming. If you're willing to work on it, let me know. Most of the process is automated now, even the autobuilds. The only ``manual'' thing for me to do is update the fonts, the links to the Simba releases and possible write Simba release posts. You're free to take up some tasks.

@The stats
Here's the shortlog of srl-opendev; of whats on the server anyway. Note that quite some of Icefire908's commits are only towards ``keeping srl compatible with scar'', because relatively little people used it (and tested it) any more. So if you see ``Compilation error'' it really just means: make srl-4 work with scar again as well.

If this is not enough, I'm sure we can check a code diff on lines as well, seeing I have all (up to this point) in git. I don't know if there were more commits. I don't believe so.

Note that this are far from all the commits to SRL, but these are the public ones. (Way before this repository we had a closed one, but I think most current developers never had access to that one; it's also where I flourished more in terms of commits)

BenLand100 (23):
Replaced non-official SMART with Official SMART. For future reference, to make OFFICIAL modifications to the SRL OFFICIAL SMART, contact BenLand100 with a patch and a damn good reason.
Okay, so to once again outline this procedure (since IceFire908 is trying to be sneeky and revert instead of comitting a new SMART, both of which would be problematic), here's why SRL uses (and needs to use) the official SMART: If I make changes to the core of SMART to fix/add functionality, SRL does not want to wait for a specific package maintainer to update their specific SMART and fold in the changes. So, if you desire compatability, features, or bug fixes, send me a patch. Once again, DO NOT commit a non official SMART binary. If you desire to add a non official SMART, DO NOT overwrite the official one. Hopefully this is clear enough.
Committed SMART v5.8 which fixes compatibility with the new broken versions of SCAR. Note that SCAR versions of SMART might not work with Simba or older, stable, versions of SCAR.

Boreas' functions. (www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?p=604989) Also cleaned function summary list.
And I was SO focused on compiling before the commit, yet I forgot.. Anyway, changed CoordsToItem to take X, Y parameters instead of a TPoint.
Changes made according to this thread: http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48099 Also small fixes on additional functions, nothing really big. Most important fix was adding waiting in various functions to stop them from freezing user's comp.
Removed "if wVersion <> SRLVersionNumber then exit;" and the case(wVersion) from srl_Warn. Didn't really see the point of it, sorry if that was a mistake.
Description fix. Thanks, Ian.
MapWalk.scar: > Edited GetOldRoadColors, it should actually work now -- it earlier did a search with 10 tolerance, and set the color closest to the actual RoadColor as the RoadColor. 1 commit away from SCAR 3.25 working
Ok hopefully everything else for SCAR 3.25 can be done scar side.
Doesn't do much good to commit random solvers if you don't activate them ;-)
New all SCAR cross compatible SMART 5.7 http://freddy1990.com/svn/smart/ SCAR 3.25 is now fully SRL compatible.

It's really hard to make SRL actually compile, isn't it?
Ok, so now SRL actually shows you that your script is outdated and needs to update to the new tab constants. *sigh* Why can I never just run a script without having to mod SRL? :p
writeln(Length(TPA)); Uhm, since when does that compile? Scripting lesson #1: to WriteLn integers, use IntToStr. Fixed, so I can actually auto now.
Made SRL actually compile yet again
uhm yea so at least login setgraphics and audio are tested/fixed I think.. The rest is yet to come but I gotta take a drink now :)
Fixed login_setgraphics completely now I think :)

Added the other 'graphics have changed' box to be clicked. There's two different ones... Expect more updates probably.
stats.simba commited, stats.scar removed (site is gone anyways). Added stats.simba to compile SRL.scar. Using .simba so people are forced to update/change scripts.
Updated worldswitcher.scar and worlds..ini. World switching now works with favourite worlds and is more dependable if changes occur. Calculations depends on TPA gathering, simple color update will fix it.

Raymond (105):
Starting porting Simba
Took Simba-porting to the next level!
Just committing a few changes to make it Simba-proof ;-).
Simba is now compatible with the core..
Fixed compiling for SCAR
Upgraded Simba compatibility ;-).
Small bug-fix... Btw, you can now just do {$define SMART} instead of {.include SRL/SRL/Misc/Smart.scar} to use SRL_SMART ;-).
More Simba changes.
Added Simba plugins (Yes they are messy). Added few wrappers, needed for Simba :<
Changed some silly MakeCompass (mistakes) and added few Simba wrappers.
Fixed a bug in SRL_log (Leaving lots of files open)..
Named the bitmaps/DTMs SRL uses, (means easier debugging in Simba!).
Oops forgot this one $_$.
Lil mistake fixed. (Lam IS zero if it's the first DTM loaded, which it probably is..)
Fixed the Lamp-not-loaded bug..
It was searching outside the Client area, fixed this. Made a define: SimbaDebug, it will writeln some extra information with GetTextAt (Default for now in Simba).
Added few extra wrappers :-).
Fixed bug caused by changing the way LoadTextTPA works (it doesn't return the *real* height)
Fixed GetSkillInfo where it would crash/return the wrong value if the Levelnumber was blocked by an XP box.
Small Simba fixes
Removed Playsound from the Simba wrapper (as Simba now includes a Playsound itself, for windows)
New wrapper for FindDTMRotated, as simba supports two different versions of 'DTM rotation': 1) Alternating, means you start in the middle of the angles and then rotate outwards (+,-,+ angle steps) this is what scar does 2) SE (Start-end), means you start rotating at the start angle, and then increase the angle with the angle step till you reach EndAngle.
Fixed small variants stuff :-).
Simba initalizeHTTPClient wrapper added.
Fixed issues where it would search outside the client.
Added a patch by Dgby714 which fixes (a lot) of Standard issues. (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55480)
Added other standard fixes, by Dgby714
Changed the extension of the simba file.
Redid the plugins for Simba.. They should work better now (untested).
fixed compiling for SCAR.
Added FreeSRL, and an OnTerminate event for this function (Simba only)
Fixed some Simba issues with the word 'Portal' the r 'hits' the t, therefore Simba is (not yet) able to read this text correct.
Added some simba stuff :).
Tried to port p_ScanPillar for Simba
Added the new dungeon skill and fixed the skill-tab functions accordingly.
Fixed small issue.
Let the scar users enjoy my fix as well ;)
Fixed ChooseOptionMulti (The blue color had changed).
Leo solving now also works in Simba!
Should be using Ceil, otherwise it won't return 100%.
Cleaned up simba file. You no longer need the skyplugin + the wrap-functions are not needed anymore with the latest (625+) version of Simba
Take a little bit more time to solve the molly! Cleaned up ClickContinue a bit.
Abyss random now works in Simba as well..
Little change :).
Sandwich lady should also work with Simba now :).
Mordaut random changed(?) tab-setup.
Evilbob fixed getting the net (Take it easy!) and changed gametab(4) -> tab_inv
Fixed chatbox text for Simba (you need rev 635+).
Drill demon now detects + solves :p
Left some debugging in there, oops!
Giles/Certer random should work (better) now! Also 'fixed' some of the random detection/solving.. It should not close the textbox in the middle anymore, and thus making a detect + solve rate higher.. Hopefully.
Fixed small issue where it would click the music tab everytime you call FindNormalRandoms.. (/me sighs at the lazy -other- devs)
Arnav should now work in Simba as well..
Added AddOnTerminate and made some lil changes in quiz solver.
Fix for Simba + Fix for EvilBob random solver.
Some changes regarding the latest Simba (and a try to make Arnav work 'better'..). Note that the playerform still won't work (as you need Simba 650 to make it compile). But even then it seems to fail; not sure what causes this.
Silly mistakes in Certer.. Should *actually* work now! (Somehow he can be named Giles or Miles o.O)
Initialize the result (for some methods)
Added ReadLn and edited the debugging methods a bit..
Cleaned up a bit and added some more humanness to MouseItem.
Fixed the 'Variable not used' hint.
Better way to fix the variable expected hint.
Rethought my previous commit.. It would probably break a lot of scripts.. :(
Added few functions to inventory (like ItemSelected).. Also added ClickMouse which clicks the mouse on the current spot in a human way. Also changed the way InvMouse works (in Simba).. It will now click an Item on the same 'side' as the mouse is.. So it kind of picks the shortest distance to an item in the invetory :).
Changed some minor stuff.
New SMART which supports SmartGetFieldByte.
Added MouseBoxEx which is made to provide a more 'human' MouseBox approach.. Like a human wouldn't click on the right side of the box if the mouse is closer to the left on the box.. Note that this is only for Simba (Unless someone puts FilterPointsDist into WizzyPlugin). So yes, chooseoption finally doesn't go to the end right or something weird like that, but should just behave more normal.
The certer can be called Miles,Giles or Niles.. :).
If one wants do deposit slot 1 to 28, he might as well just use DepositAll.
Players nick isn't used anymore.. Kind off deprecated.
Just some minor fixes.
Small changes...
Demon seems to solve perfectly, but then it results false.. Added some waitings at the end to (hopefully) stop this behavior.
Whoops, I guess DepositAll is broken? Quick fix for Deposit.
Hopefully Certer will work (better) now.. And made a stupid thinking mistake when setting default values for the Invetory items.. The tab_Inv is not visible when banking.
Lamp solves perfectly, just needs to slow down a bit :). + Unused variable.
Some minor changes..
EvilBob has all tabs visibile now.. So added another check to see if it's in the random.
Oops, switched them around.
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56668
Fixed bug in EvilBob (where it would detect it if the ChatBox was covered).
LoadDLL -> LoadLib.. Note you NEED the latest (375+) Simba for this to work
Fixed the compiling issues for SCAR.
Updated to work with the latest simba (685+)
Make the new system compatible with the 'old' scar one!
Level should be an integer (-1 if it couldn't get the level).
Semicolon
Sandwich should now report TRUE if it solved the random successfully.. Which it does :/
Pomp that debug info to tha console!
Meh! Maybe it detects it better now.
New smart..
Avoid crash
Fixed rewardbox.
Added RestUntilHP.
Fixed Leo_coffin DTM + Added WithdrawEx which checks the uptext before withdrawing. (not really tested ^_^)
Fixed it Withdraw (without the -ex) ;).
Fixed compilerhint.
Now we're able to 'hook' the FindRandoms call.. (Why designed the Event system in SRL!?)
Fixed net bmp for evilbob
Fixed ChooseOption (it now actually sorts correctly)
Fixed GetMMLevels for Simba + Fixed SetRun
Added some debugging..
Added PlayerWorked, which returns the correct work time even if the player is still active.
Fixed DebugATPABounds bug in Simba
Make sure you can read the number in DebugATPABounds

We only really care because he's come back after being permanently banned to insult the entire community, despite repeatedly saying that he was completely done with us. He has a habit of absolutely refusing to let anyone else get the last word in, and would go so far as to post in already closed threads just to get the last word in when he was still part of the community.

Permanently banned the one person who tried everything in his power to save SRL (the include) and botting but failed due to impossible circumstances…

I didn't come back to insult everyone but rather express my endless frustration which has followed me after my crucifixion which I received here

I don't need the last word either… that's a childish delusion used in perception to explain your failure of comprehension.

From: Brandon

@Senrath

That's why he replied no? Mentioning anyone from Scar is going to get them to reply especially if someone from here sends them a message there or if they just happen to see it.

Anyway.. Point of the thread is already derailed. Wizzup said he doesn't hate Freddy.

I wrote a lot of significant code for SRL.. random solvers, major fixes, diagnosis, efficiency dynamics… scripts like color abyssal walkers that redefined what we knew as possible. There were a lot of other people that came and went that did things like me but none of them dealt with the changes I did. I only took from SRL what I believed was only accomplish-able in one single fashion and even then I tried new ways to improve upon it. I redefined everything I had ever known and pushed the limits further than I could ever imagine… the proof exists in the latest versions of OSI… of which sadly I've lost all interest in due to my personal life moving onto bigger and better things than the events that occurred here.

This was never about Freddy, or SCAR, or hell even SRL. It was a civil war between intellectual men seeking a challenge and the presence of other like minded individuals.

From: Wizzup?

@The stats

There was a hell of a lot more than SCAR compability… lol… it's whatever we can dig out ancient records and throw them at eachother until the end of time and we can argue forever about time frames and coding moral principalities.. although I think that'd be a waste of time. I don't plan on continue pursuing SRL, OSI, SCAR etc. Wizzup… you and I had an argument a long time ago about what SRL is… I insisted it was about the team effort of SRL (the include) while as you were focused on Simba and advancing forward… I'm not sure what your dad (WTF) thinks about the true purpose of these forums…. our dispositions crossed and we finally broke apart completely and hated each-other but I think deep down we pushed each other to better ourselves and question everything we knew thus growing ourselves and improving the individual lives of ourselves and those around us.

I came back to agree with you… SRL is about learning especially now that rs/botting is dead (in my eyes) I've moved on to bigger and better things… I came to apologize although I don't think it's very necessary to go into detail. My life has changed a lot recently… and in positive ways.

I wish I could go back and fix things and do them differently.. but then I wouldn't be where I am today… I don't think any of us would be.

I want to come back to these forums and experience it all again… the community even in the darkest hours we survived because that was what it was really all about.

I can't take it back.. SCAR, Simba, OSI, and SRL and the new age of incldues and scripters see things in a different light and I wish to guide them the way I was here… we all have different goals now that shouldn't collide or intercept.. after all there are obvious benefits (pros and cons.) … a lot of variables… to the way things are run here verse elsewhere which is true when you look at any country or system of governing body in the entire world.

Lets move forward =)

It seems most of drawn-out debate has been posted in the public forums actually. If anyone was disagreeing with what you said it was done within this thread, where you yourself were able to see it and reply back. There's simply no reason to talk badly about someone in private boards where they cannot see it; that's a cowardly move, and I assure you that, to the best of my knowledge, it's not being done here.

I knew that much about Timer… just wasn't aware of his current statuses.

I like the public eye in a matter like this… adds a certain level of impedance to the issue however there's a difference between 'talking bad' about someone and simply having private conversations in higher admin/moderator boards about the forum's best interests… especially in this day and age when it's hard to know who to (and not to) trust ;)

What's funny is I can still feel my influence carry on here long after I'm gone … even now ;)

Ban evading is where you make a new account after being banned. Don't snap at me, I'm not trying to be mean or disrespectful in any shape or form. I was suggesting that we just unban you since people seem to get on with you anyway and you must of changed (I wasn't around back in your day so I don't really know).

And if you literally want me to explain it:
e·va·sion
/i?v?ZH?n/
Noun
The action of evading something.
An indirect answer; a prevaricating excuse.
Synonyms
elusion - subterfuge - avoidance - dodge

It's self explanatory. You are evading a ban placed on your account.

As a user of both I grind my teeth every time this topic comes up. In a perfect world I would be able to use either. I still prefer SCAR over Simba. Personal preference nothing more. But lets face it on the includes side SRL is much more active with an active user base and more scripts. SRL 6 looks especially exciting. So does the still in development SCAR 4 from what I've seen.

I keep hoping against hope both sides will grow the F*ck up and work together to make RS botting the best it can be, with the freedom to use whichever tool suits your personal style. Dare to dream! Which leaves me the user caught in the middle: Use a program I'm not crazy about to get the support of the more active include, or use the tool I prefer and wind up having reinvent the wheel all the freaking time in order to script.

Getting back to OP's question: Freddy and the Simba devs seem cool with each other. Agree to disagree but keep in touch sort of thing. Now IceFire/Wanted drives me crazy (and the SRL devs from the sound of it). Every time the dust settles and there seems a chance at peace he wades in with his ego and winds everyone up all over again, widening the rift yet again. Leaving us poor users to suffer the consequences of his immaturity.

I would love to see a side project that sees SRL updated to once again support SCAR but that ship has sailed I think. Just too much bad blood there. Too bad. It's not the devs and their egos that suffer. It's the users/scripters that suffer.

That should be obvious to people who have the most influence in this matter… I've already talked to everyone on #SRL and to Wizzup directly etc. I'm sure the deliberations are underway…

What's funny is this could in theory all be apart of some master plan of mine… and lol… if that was the case it's a damn good one ;)

However take into consideration reality and what could actually happen… I mean… lol? Really guys. I know SRL has a huge 30 ton steel safe full of money just waiting to be swapped out like in Fast and Furious 5.

It is fairly valid in cases where it's legitimate. I mean just look at the current scenario. 98% of these forums don't go on IRC. Some people try and come in and be legitimately nice, and what do you do? Insult them. "Oh god, someone is being nice and understanding of the situation - better treat them like they're retarded!"

Not to mention your ridiculous mentions of comparing yourself to Vin Diesel when asked what you wanted to do. Meaning "do you want to partake in this community, or just poke fun on the forums?" Whereas you take it as "OH EM GEE, YOU SO SCARY, WHAT IS YOUR TERRIBLE MASTERMIND PLANNING OF SCARINESS"

I can't honestly believe that your responses to these questions and statements are legitimate - and not, in fact, trolling people that are just trying to be nice and/or curious.

Read the last couple of posts and you'll notice some questions where we're asking what you're talking about.
What exactly is this "great" thing you're talking about that you talked to Wizzup about?..

Until then, you can call me sheep all you want..

Don't be a grammar nazi if you're wrong.

What is the point of saying all these "feats" if you're not going to say what they are at all? That just bothers me. How else are we supposed to know what you think we think you're capable of? I'll be leaving you to your thread now.

Cool, a whole thread about me :)

I sort of skimmed everything in here… I don't really see why people would hate me, I don't hate anyone here either. Hate is a pretty strong word anyway. All I really want to say is this… SCAR and Simba have some big similarities, seeing as SCAR was the original inspiration for the Simba project. Yet I feel the goal we set for the development of each application are very different. It's up to the end-user to decide which suits his needs best.

For those interested, I'm slowly open-sourcing parts of SCAR's API now. I don't release all at once, because parts use proprietary code and I try to clean up and document everything before adding it. It's slowly growing into a pretty extensive collection of functions though. This will help people understand SCAR's API better and possibly even identify bugs, if they occur, more easily. https://github.com/SCAR-Divi/OpenAPI http://openapi.scar-divi.com/

I honestly think that @Wanted Returns should get another chance, since as he's moved on from RS, seeing as he hasn't really ``harmed" the community in any way (like CharmZ).

Most seem to agree however there's always the little negative 2 cents people like to throw in … the little stabs … it's funny then because when I play games back suddenly it's malicious lol…

That infraction on my last post made me feel all warm and fuzzy ;)

Let's see how this plays out xD

You obviously want to come back since you've pimped your profile out ;)
The sentence I bolded isn't going to help your chances.
I was first to say I was up for it. My statement still stands.
And wanted, I declined your friends request for now. Not worthy of that yet :/

Feb, 2012? You're new ;)

Link me to some scripts or something and I'll give you some pointers… maybe then I'll "be worthy" ;)

Made the thread because if I recall correctly, me and @Brandon; were talking over msn/skype and with good intentions of curiosity of course; I was wondering why Villavu wasn't still SRL-Forums and that SRL used to stand for SCAR Resource Library opposed to Simba RL.(SRL-Forums.com)->(Villavu.com + SCAR-Divi.com). Also because of some of the posts we saw on the forums. I was actually just hoping for an answer off Wizzup? seen as he's pretty much the leader of Villavu. but did not want to directly put him in the spotlight :P

Oct, 2013? You're new ;)

I don't mean you don't have knowledge. Just your not a friend of mine yet. I'v literally just spoken to you on this thread.

I'd be more than happy for you to look at a script of mine. I'm always happy to learn.

Yes its outdated haven't been able to update to srl6 yet.

Edit: Please don't be like "learn tpas, or add walking". I do know how to use them, just not required for such a script.

Oct, 2013? Hahaha, I registered a few days ago and look how far I've gotten in this short period of time. Impressive, isn't it? ;)

Why don't you search around the forums IceFire908… Wanted.. pull up that SRL include of yours and look through its source code. I'm responsible for a good percentage of ground you stand on currently. ;) For some reason now I've doubt you even read this entire thread that you're currently in much less the entire history of these forums… did you know you're speaking to the man who has re-written his own completely new (nearly completely different) versions of SRL?

I assure you pointers from me are going to be a little more useful than indent your coding and use TPA's instead of blind clicking ;)

I'll take a look at your script now and remember it's not your latest and greatest… of course my pointers will be placed in the appropriate thread and not this one ;)

Did you know that SRL-6 doesn't have anything with your name on it? It was rewritten from scratch. Written using the Lape interpreter. So you can't exactly expect him to go through the include to find anything with any ground because the include is built on new ground/concepts.

IIRC, the last include I saw your name in was the SRL-4 include? Don't remember. Something like that.

That's interesting I'll have to look at that when I have some time to browse around more includes… it's easy to loose track and all when you write your own for fun and go through numerous others in your leisure ;)

Most people don't hate you. Yea the goals are slightly different with SCAR focusing on automation beyond RS, but they still have their overlaps. Also, have fun documenting…not. I actually don't know if it's possible to have fun documenting.
