I just downloaded Xcode, and been playing with it for couple hours, looked at some Youtube videos. Only thing I really know is what is what in Xcode. What is the best way to get into Objective-C and learning how everything works and what it takes to develop an app.
Please tell me how you learned how to make apps. Also, if you have read books to learn please suggest them to me, so I can go to a local bookstore and grab them. Anything will help Mates. Summer break is way too long lol.

Just FYI, app developing never makes a profit. Even if you make something awesome on your own, a company with huge resources will make a better version and cash in. It's good developing experience though, if that's what you are after.

Yes just in it for fun and a hobby :D.
I develop for Android myself and the university I attend does actually give classes and exams about Android. Really interesting to develop for Android instead of making websites etc. like other universities.
I don't know much about iOS, can't you only develop on a Mac? I plan to learn more about a C-language this summer, probably C#. Might learn how to make Windows 8 app, those are in C# I believe. I could help you a bit with Android.. :P
