Hey all did somthing stupid , dowloaded crack version of rsbuddy

wanted to see what scripts they had under VIP … big mistake

Also just a minut ago dvd drive kept ejecting (slimline Laptop type);

grr i new i shouldnt .. i know what file infected me .. but cant find any process …?

its java based or at least when i reboot an error regarding the jvm not bein able to load C:\users\–Deleted–\temp\[somthing lots of numbers].jar pops up …

any ideas people

file that infected me was either

odd thing tho AVG and IMMUNET have no idea

I'd run MalwareBytesAntiMalware and see what that finds. Until then I'd recommend not logging into anything (including rs) in case it's a rat

Disable Java runtimes whilst you find and delete the viruses. control panel -> Programs -> Java -> java tab -> View -> uncheck all boxes under enabled.

restart comp. then i guess you could run antivirus? or try to manually delete them if you know what it was? then ofcourse run a scan..

after all is done enable all your runtimes again. same steps except check all the boxes.

How do people fall for these. :( Hope you get it removed.

i pride myself for being 'in The know ' when it comes to Computers 'Hardware(solved)/Software(Solved)- but still human stupidity gets me everytime …

looking back theres Many reasons why i shouldnt have chosen let alone Downloaded/run it this specific app
… Being an exe when i believe it should have been a Jar like RSbot or similar

ive never use Vinsert <- if thats even it: before so i gues i just went with it …

I think everyone breaks / infects a few computers but after a while you just don't download anything with any potential risk.. Just not worth it. Unless its from a trusted source.

Format your hd, don't stick any usb to save files.

Can you find the process with "Process Hacker" (yea cheesy name), it shows a lot more processes than you default task manager.
