Got banned today, it said reason: Bot busting

Wasn't even botting at the time just banking lol.
Unbanned in 2 days, next offence = perm ban.

From what i understand from JageX complete utter logic.

You can be banned from:

A) You did bot on the account but bot watch went over your recording's the day you was banned.
B) You was falsely banned due to bot watch is a complete dick.
C) A J-Mod is having fun.

That's everything i know about the JageX's Logic.

I know, just hadn't seen this kind of ban before.

Pretty sure people banned at bot busting events are perm banned because they get removed from highscores.
Like I said, this wasn't a bot busting event but it shows that as reason :\

There have been many bans like this recently actually, but in EOC.

I got bot busted 2 days ago as well, was cursing in fight caves with a private script. Guess if you bot enough eventually a jmod will walk up to you.
Anyway, lost no items and had no rollback, so that was nice of them..

No.. I think perhaps the fact that you were botting an unhuman behaviour could've resulted in the ban..
I've had a guy running like.. 4 weeks in the fight caves.. fighting not cursing.. but yeah..
no ban.. about.. 18/7 a day.

How to avoid ban by reason 1

I'm going to start off with the first reason listed, short and simple: When your making a script, craft it into a way that you would normally do a task. If you cannot do that, then it is advised that you make a more simple script or deal with a higher risk of being banned.

A real person wouldn't sit in caves cursing..
It's slow..
it's WAY too boring..
and there are 10000s of other better methods…..

I have spent nearly a thousand hours botting in those caves for 99 str and a modestly high ranged level, on a few accounts.
Without a break.
24/7. Not 18/7, 24.
Exactly the same SRL methods.
The notion that an algorithm detected me is a bit unbelievable given the circumstances.


Also it would appear automatic bans are two weeks, whereas manual bans are two days.

If you managed to spend like.. 100+ hours there n didn't get banned..

then shortly after starting cursing you were banned..?

Sad to hear, more manual bans.. This kinda scares me i think if jagex really tries they could easily figure out what my runescape account name is, damn..

Hopefully you don't bot anymore and risk your account because its going to be heavily monitored for the first few days/weeks.
