hey guys!

so im just in the middle of making a cooker, its for catheby and so far i have it moving between the bank and the range, it can cope with the door being shut either way and at the moment it banks burnt and cooked food, then withdraws raw food. im just finshing the cooking bit but this is what i need from you guys …

i need screenshots of all fish, i need raw/cooked/burnt in inventory and in bank, and also the pop-up in the chat box when you use with the range :) i only have 20-something fishing and cooking so cant get all of these, thanks in advance to anyone who helps :D

Brightness Must Be On Full Please!

(the cooker will be released once i have tested it works and that all colors used are working the majority of the time, the ones for moving between bank and range and opening doors/using range/using bank-booth, obviously i cant test DTMs but they *should* be fine)

While I like the idea of being DTM safe with all possible options, I would think that in this case, it may be better to simply have people setup their bank for your script. IE: row 1, column 1 is raw fish, and all else is just deposited via DepositAll. That way, if I wanted to cook multiple types of fish in one run, I could set them up in row 1, column 1,2,3,etc and as each finished, it would simply reach the next fish on the next trip and withdraw.

what that is a better suggestion for that side of the script, i am using the number of raw fish to determine whether its still cooking or not.

its something along the lines of:

repeat
wait(RandomRange(450, 650));

if findDTMs(rawFishDTM, fishTPA ....) then
begin
currentCount := length(fishTPA);

if currentCount = lastCount then
begin
CookFish;
end;
end else
begin
break;
end

lastCount := CurrentCount;

...

until(false);

thats not exactly it, there may be errors in that i just typed it here :)

Check out my rogues den cooker for some good functions to detect cooking and such - color changes ftw!

A good excuse to avoid the Rogue's Den is that it has high requirements so you don't want to mess with it and thus stick with your current location plan. ;)

I would use the Production Dialog to determine if people are done cooking. I use it for smithing/crafting/herblore and it can very well be done with cooking as well. It's up to you, but that's a DTM free method of determining when you're done instantly. :)

EDIT: production dialog does not exist in OSRS, didn't notice that's what we were talking about, my bad… You could do a check on last inventory slot with a fish in it, and watch for it to change. IE: mouse over last taken slot and watch for uptext change OR watch the pixels in that slot and wait for them to change.

There is animation when your character cooks isn't there? If so, using pixel shift would be an easy way to determine if you're still cooking.

OK, no DTMs it seems … @Ashaman88 i like the checking for color changes so may have to steal that :p aha

i might also bring in checking pixel shift/chatbox just for the hell of it :p

also i have no intention of moving to rogues den, i have next to no quests/levels on my account :)

Yes it is definitely the best and easiest way to detect cooking imo :) Take a gander at the whole script for more ideas

yeah its looks nice man … i may use and change a lot of it, easier than writing from scratch :) however its gunna have to wait a week or so, my exams are looming and im having to pull some heavy hours so not much free time for scripting (what i do have is going into my game :) )
