Hello, if you would like to discuss SRL members + related stuff (and what ever you want) you may join the SRL members + skype group. Anyone that has been a member for at-least 3 weeks (amount of time you have to wait to vote on a application I believe?) may join! This Skype chat is so we can discuss what ever we want without leaking anything.


Rules:

-You WILL NOT use this group as a loophole to attack other people just because the rules here don't apply on it(except for scamming and leaking obviously). If you do this you WILL be removed at once.

-More harsh language is allowed, but keep it under control..
-No leaking. Because it's SRL+ if you leak anything in it that is "sensitive" , that is considered leaking.
-No inviting non-SRL members. This IS leaking.

Why not just all join IRC? Meh.. I'm too lazy to join the skype channel.. Besides.. I'm fairly certain its a ton more work to join any groups on Windows 8 Skype app. Doesn't even let me sign out -__-

But I also find the IRC rather quiet, and even unwelcoming. Just my personal opinion.

I've joined the IRC several times and after a few hours of noone talking each time, I kinda just started associating it with either a very quiet area or an area only awake when I'm not.

^^the IRC is almost dead, and with Skype you can view older messages so you can see previous conversations.

but I guess Brandon has a point with Skype on Windows8, I launched it, and it was going to force me to update or I couldn't run it.

It probably disconnects because you are using that crappy web client that's on this site. Download a proper client and you'll be right.

I find there are pretty much always people talking. But during the day (my time, GMT+10), it can get rather quiet as there aren't that many in my timezone on. That's why people should join. Also, change your name from "GuestXXXXXXX", or, "ForumXXXX", it is rather annoying to see/distinguish people…

Ahh ok I figured but meh I just like skype even if it does take up 130 mb of RAM (not a problem with my new super-duper laptop)

I always change my name, how else are people meant to know who I am? ;)
Maybe I'll give irc another try… but I'll probably still prefere skype… :/

How much RAM does it use? Ofc, not a problem with my PRO windows8 computer 8gb of ram i7 quad processor

I hate how skype uses like 130 on my desktop though (4gb useable but slow)

@Everyone having trouble using Skype on Win8, I had the same trouble, too. So I went and downloaded the portable version of Skype. It's the same that's on Win7 and lower.

I don't use the one packaged with my Win8 computer, I went and downloaded the portable version.
