I'm ashamed to even be posting this, and I'm not sure if I'm having a bit of a moment or what, but anyway…After not running any scripts for months, I decided I might as well get something going. Anyway, got t4q's Williw choppers and burner (clicky), and I got the "Smart cannot spawn client" error. No biggy I thought.

Now, I've re-installed Java 6, re-installed Simba, got SMART 8, opened the game in Safe Mode on my browser, disabled my firewall, restarted my laptop and tried running Simba as admin (and searched the forums, of course), but I'm still getting the error.

Am I just being really thick here and haven't tried the one thing to sort it out?

EDIT: I should also add I've tried other scripts which use SMART 8 and I can't get those running either.

Have you tried installing java 7?

Yep. Still a no go.

Have you run Runescape in a legit browser yet on this computer? It was the dumbest thing for me, but apparently it's necessary before smart will work.

is your java path set correctly? :s

does the black debugbox from simba/smart say anything unusual when this error occurs?

Think I've got everything set up properly, but hopefully Kasi can sort something out over TM. This is where I get made to look a fool :D

Have you tried deleting the Jagex cache files stored on your computer? They are normally in your personal folder. Start button —> Your Username

Yeh, I literally deleted everything Simba and RS related. Kasi is having s rummage through my PC now do hopefully he can't sort something out.

Just an update to say that Kasi managed to sort it out. I have absolutely no idea what he was doing half the time, but for 2.5ish hours he was going at it, and eventually sorted it out.

The only bit I understood was the re-installing of Simba and Java…We also agreed that I'm a bit OCD with my desktop icons. That's as much as I can tell you.

LOL.. Yohojo has the most desktop icons by far. I guarantee it! Craziness just looking at his desktop lol.. And he's crazy about it too.. An icon cannot be there unless he put it there ;) One time I was helping him and accidentally checked off the Install desktop shortcut for Simba; we spent some time trying to find the icon to remove it LOL.. Was pretty funny.
