Need keylogger help

[XoL]

2013-05-28 19:58:40

Hey so this is a unique request but does anyone have a very basic keylogger that will save everything typed regardless of the user account (saves it to a place in my documents). I would like to keylog my own desktop I have a suspicion someone is doing something on my computer late at night and would just like to see what it is… (I think it's my dad, which is odd since he has a computer lol)

A tut would also be nice :p sorry for the request I know it probably looks shady but eh I can't prove anything just got to believe me, been here long enough for you guys to judge my character and to know I wouldn't use it maliciously against anyone on the Internet.

you can find a few online, these look legit
http://download.cnet.com/Free-Keylogger/3000-2162_4-10419683.html
http://download.cnet.com/Family-Key-Logger/3000-2092_4-10125237.html

You may need to turn off your anti virus. If you want to write your own, I can write a quick guide.

The reviews are terrible for both of those. I would think twice if ever to try one of those. Although I don't really even have a reason to try I was curious to look though.

For both ppl seem to complain they come with loads of adware and cannot be removed. Then again maybe these people aren't very bright.

Thanks, i'll try to write/find something better King found one. On cnet use the direct download link instead of CNET's installer, that way you shouldn't get any adware. Also my antivirus flagged both of them as viruses.

Thanks :) Yeah I was looking for something more along these lines. The ones on Cnet just had such crappy reviews that I didn't want to test them on my computer :p I am pretty savvy so it isn't a case of "moronness" :p

If you're looking to write one, SetWindowsHookEx is the function you need and GetAsyncKeyState in combination with GetKeyNameText: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646300%28v=VS.85%29.aspx.

That way you simply do:

for (int I = 0; I < 256; ++I)
{
if (GetAsyncKeyState(I) &1)
{
File<<GetKeyNameText....
}
}

etc.. GetKeyboardState works too.

If you're looking to download one, then DarkComet is a RAT that can keylog very well and you can remove the RAT features.

Syslogger is a good free one as well or try hackforums keylogger section :l

Why don't you two just put a password on the computer since it is your own? Unless of course you think they're using a live CD/USB to bypass your password, in which case a keylogger wouldn't work anyhow :p

Also my antivirus flagged both of them as viruses.

That makes sense considering that they are designed to log keystrokes, I'd have serious doubts about an antivirus that didn't flag them :)

Yeah I just don't know who it is, it technically isn't my computer but someone is doing some shady business on this family computer so just covering my bases.

Thanks yeah originally I thought id make one but then figured for more advanced functions such as startup/screenshots/time intervals/email sending (all things I could add myself, but would be so much faster just to download :p)

Lol. I know, but there is only one user, which is mine, because this is my personal computer. I usually run bots with it, but my family comes into my room and does stoof to it. :p

And yes, I know you can fix things in control pannel. :p

I'm not really sure what could be done then, is there anyway to block the use of proxies from being used to create new accounts only? Or could they just block a list of the most common free ones and anybody that is having a issue can contact a moderator? that way at least he would have to pay to use them? I would be more than willing to compile a list of common/free proxies @Justin if you guys wanted.

Or list would be massive. I also think that it would be hard to stop people from using proxies. We just gotta find a way to keep him outta here…

I can quote atm (Computer issues) but i mentioned you. :p

anyways, a lot of them make your antivirus go crazy because it is a keylogger. Its meant to note all your key strokes.

Now, there are some that send them to the original developers, so you gotta be careful.

Just a heads up incase you didnt know.

Why Would i Want One? For The Simple Fact Of causing Chaos/fixing my attendance record/records In My School…As there is no lock on the door to the main computer for the school.
If i were to gain the password by placing a key logger into a usb drive/Dumping it into the Desired School computer when no one was around in school i could receive the information from my idle computer when i got home, Or am i going about this complacently wrong ? :bart:

yes, that is a crime. (1) Keylogging a computer that you do not have permission to key log, (2) Changing grades and (3) Chaos would probably fall under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. So. I would just take the time that you would have used to keylog the computer to actually learn and improve your grades…

Speaking from experience, you dont want to fuck around with a school's computer system. I cant even count the number of times ive been called down to the principal's office because of stuff like that.
Time for a story. One time… Freshman year me and a friend had heard from another that some guy had a 'hacking' program on his shared drive at school. So we took it upon ourselves to find it and possibly attempt to use it. After about a week we got his password. We login, get the files and logout. Not but an hour later, the IT guy as well as the principal comes in and grabs my friend from the computer class we were in. Knowing that the files these guys were after were on my friends flashdrive and that flashdrive was plugged into the computer and was no longer encrypted i did the only sensible thing… I unplugged it. A few mins later… I get taken out of class. Questions are asked. etc etc. Even the police liaison officer is there. "look dude, all we did was login to someone's account and take a 'hacking' program that doesnt even work." We both get yelled at and such and they threaten police action as well as blame my friend for things we hadnt done in the past. We dont go back to class that day. So we each get on the bus and go home. Later that night around… 5ish. Doorbell rings. Apparently they wanted my computer. at this point im thinking to myself 'crap crap crap!' (it wasnt crap, but you can guess). Quick! throw in a ubuntu live cd and delete the entire C drive! So it finishes deleting shit and eventually they take it. The next day i talk to my friend and he tells me the police came and took his computer too. You know what he did? The same thing. 2 days later i get a call… "Hey Turp, this is Sargent X from the Y county police department. We have been looking at your computer and noticed it doesnt work" or something or idk what he said. Thinking fast i make up some BS story about how i was trying to install linux on it and failed, so thats why it didnt work. They buy it and i dont hear another thing.
So… Its been 7 years now and I have not gotten that computer back.
Whats the moral of the story here? Dont fuck around with this. I cant even imagine what would happen had they got my actual files.

Maan Thats a lucky escape, you could of been seriously prosecuted if they were to catch onto it.
That would make me think otherwise to do that then as i would be screweeed.
