I have a few questions before I really commit myself into learning Simba/Scar.

1 - How long will it take to get the basics of autoing (possibly a powerchopper or powerminer)

2 - is it still worth to make bots using simba or should I look into making bots with java? (Which program has a better success rate and is smoother running?)

I understand it may take weeks or even months to be successfully scripting,but If someone could please answer my questions that would be awesome!

1) depends on the person, if you have a decent amount of experience wit programming you will probably pick it up fast as pascal is considered easy compared to other languages. She it comes down to it, it depends on the person some people learn faster then others.

2) you can make a good bot with Simba or java. Making a more human like bot with injection/reflection has its challenges and so does color, but just a note on java bots: I don't think it's very human like to automaticly mine concentrated gold 70 tiles away offscreen.


Simba is great because it challenges you, and in my opinion is more easy to learn than a object oriented programming language such as java, and the community is great you can ask as man questions as you like

From what I see Simba is great for beginners or for people that want to start learning how to script.

Simba is faster than Java bots.
Plenty of Simba scripts out-preform Java, in terms of speed, and terms of runtime.

Our own @Ashaman88 got a two week runtime(?) in one of his scripts.(Either 1 week, or 2 weeks.)

2 weeks, had a 3 weeker but the power went out before I could reach a month. Have had those kind of run times on several different scripts (butterfly hunting, lrc, agility, etc). But yes it is possible
