Hey everybody!
History:
17 months ago I volunteered at an internet startup and was still playing runescape ( like bots would play for me, and then I would do the fun stuff now and then ). They needed some more coders, so I decided to start learning. The first scripts I wrote were for runesape using this forum as a handbook… my scripts were shit. But I learned a lot of really cool fundamentals that would help me later on (like object oriented programming etc).
Long story short, I've had two internships with the company as a programmer (currently on my second) doing stuff to handle hundreds of thousands, and millions of rows of data in mySQL and for the most part php with Code Igniter.
I also took some Computer Science courses at my school where we did retarded tasks, but, in Java so that was cool at least. We started in this crappy little language called processing that was really out of date. Very boring stuff, but an A+ is good for my GPA - no complaints.
Current Story:
Anyways, I'm 22, and go to University.
I'm a web designer now, getting paid (somewhat), always interested in my job, have experience with SEO, php, python, java, some c++, a good amount of objective-c (what a mind fk language that is :\ ), shell, phonegap, and some other web frameworks.
So I'm here because RS 2007 Came out. And I'm going to use my experience with programming from the last 17 months to contribute back to the community that helped me understand the fundamentals of it.
Tek Spex:
Macbook Air ( no shame, I paid lots to have it upgraded, and it paid for itself with my coding and graphics design. I like it)
Wine or maybe a VM
Although I have a vps that I use for proxies to stream movies, and my web hosting stuff, I'm not going to use one for botting, since there is a high ban rate
PS
I like the new website!
and I have been playing RS since 2002 on and off.
