Hi,

I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I've got a problem with SMART now for a week or even more. The fps in really low on the client, even if I slide the slider on the right to maximum. It's still laggy.
The problem is not with my computer, because it has run perfectly smoothly before and my computer should easily run SMART.

Is there a way to get the fps high again or what is the cause of this? Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Is it just SMART that is lagging? How is the rest of ur Computer? It could be that you just have a lot of tasks running and you need to set your priority higher.

It's just the SMART. RS works fine in any other client window. Computer isn't lagging also.

Yeah. I have that issues sometimes. I dont know why, but I usually set the priority to 'Above Normal' Or 'High' if it gives me trouble.

Thats my fix, i dont know if that works for you or not. Is it Mac or PC?

It's a PC.

I repeat, that the problem started 2 weeks ago. It was 100% perfect before that. I overwrote all SMART files, did not work… I am clueless what to do next tbh.

Bots can run with the lag/low fps, but they wont run smoothly. There are many misclicks etc.

Is your java up to date? also, did u try what Sticky suggested: putting task on higher priority thru task manager

Java is up to date, just checked.

I would try to raise the priority, but now theres a new problem. Just accoured today. The whole SMART client screen is blank white. Can't be clicked(even the bot doesn't turn sound off at login menu)…

So you play OSRS? Try loading osrs till loginscreen thru your browser first.

Yes, forgot to mention that I play OSRS.
I got rid of the white screen, thanks.

But I set the priority to the highest and it did not work :(

yeh I got no clue myself, OSRS lags for me on occasions on smart :(

OSRS is very laggy for me too. It happens occasionally, but it could fix itself. Try giving it some time.

this happens to me too. runs fine on other clients/runescape.com but when it comes to smart it moves at turtle speed.

I had problems with 8.0 SMART, but degrading to 7.2 was much better. Might just have been me but its worth a try.

Do all the scripts still work with 7.2? And in 7.2 there was no fps issues? I might try that aswell.
BTW, today the FPS was perfect for some hours until the system update on OSRS. Now it's all laggy again.

I don't do OSRS. But there is a lower CPU usage when using 7.2- at least in my case.
