So, I'm not sure if anyone else here uses the desktop client, but I do! And one of the most annoying things is that I can never hop to a trade world quickly because they are always full. I must open up the browser and then load it up from the world select menu! (if it's even available!)


Well here's a quick fix for those of you who love using the desktop application to load up Runescape.

1. Find your JagexCache folder!
(I can say that in Windows 7 it is located at C:\Users\USERNAME\Jagexcache)

2. Open Jagexlauncher Folder

3. Open Oldschool folder

4. Open up "oldschool.prm" file.

5. Change Line

Dcom.jagex.config=http://oldschool.runescape.com/jav_config.ws

TO:

Dcom.jagex.config=http://oldschool[COLOR="#FF0000"]1[/COLOR].runescape.com/jav_config.ws

Notice you can change the red number to any world number available.

6. Enjoy! Now every time you load the client up it will be your selected world!

Is this spam or real? Just curious…

I personally believe that there is no way around the worlds being full without making your own server.

It won't get him on when the world is full, but it will auto select world 1 (or whatever) instead of a random on login.

Yeah it's real, haha. Jagex makes a world unselectable when it's full, and basically this just loads the world up anyway.

Hm.. Alright! Good to know! I will definitely use this when I need to! I have actually been looking for something like this.
