Chances of this script being available public are very slim seeing as how easily it's abused.
Just saying.

Let me ask you this: how does a color script determine if a trap is yours or someone else's?

thats what i was thinking. it would be very tricky. have to somehow mark the places that it puts a trap down, then only monitor those places.

Doesn't Rhiot explain a method here?:

SPS is definitely not accurate enough to be precise every time to the exact tile, so no that won't work. Any other suggestions?

What about Turpinator's post on the 2nd page?:

So. Rhiot will use sps to get position. Knowing you can only set 5 traps, he could lay a trap, save that position under lets say… trap 1. move, repeat until all 5 traps have coordinates. Then his script will then 'filter' the colors/traps/etc by location… and will only worry about those positioned in the previously recorded places. Its all about keeping track of where your traps are.
Granted yes, other traps could cause some problems, but a quick chatbox check after clicking a trap could confirm if the trap isnt yours, ie 'This is not your trap'

I believe a full working chin hunter has never been completely released because (1) the scripter never needed to worry about other traps as he was doing it for himself and (2) he wasnt using it for hardcore goldfarming. Just beause no one has released a full out script for this, doesnt mean it cant be done rjj. If you put your mind to it, im sure you can accomplish almost anything.

Using SPS then a few other things to keep it in check, like the chatbox text. Would that work?

I'm not a scripter, so I'm not sure exactly how things work, but that explanation seems like it would work :p

Would have to create your own function that gets SPS tile on minimap then that point using mmtoms, and once again it wouldn't work because that means SPS would have to be 100% accurate every single time.

Also, Sps_getmypos is extremely slow.

Again I stand by my previous statement, SPS will not be accurate to the exact tile in any map. Yes the only way to tell the difference is by interacting with the trap and if we get the message that it's not ours we ignore. But, when you walk to another trap how does the script track that exact, previous trap that's not yours? When you walk even one tile or rotate your camera even just 10 (or so) degrees that trap is no longer located on the same on-screen position. So chances are you would go back to it, clicking it over and over and over.

Id say that SRL keeps this script away from old school. I have played since 06 and red chins have always been a huge problem with the botting community. If only there was a way to allow only 1 account at a time. No matter what

When i messed around with a chin hunter in eoc i did this:

(green star = the bush, pink = example of my traps.

Use a mainscreen object (plant) as a anchor and then create a grid of the middle of the tiles around it. I never went far
with the script since the amount of chin bots on eoc is pathetic, so i never really tested it much but it worked well when i tested it a few times.
