Decisions, decisions…
What will win? What will get 0 votes? :p
Although I'd prefer no flaming, I kind of expect a Flame War to begin with this. Keep your reasoning logical, please.

console or PC?
Also what determines greatest? I believe the greatest would be the most successful(profitable). However, the most profitable FPS may not be peoples favorite…

Wow, you responded quickly (the poll is up now).
It's all opinion based - console or PC. It's more of a Villavu crowd favorite "best".

Halo! Mainly for the reason that the settings are unbelievable. You can play whatever kind of game you want. You can change almost everything. Its amazing. I love it!

I like Call of Duty however my favourite fps game is not in the mix. I only play fps games for my ps3. My favourite fps game would have to be MAG which is like an all out war game. Loved that is was multiplayer only and strategy and skill were involved. Very similar to a real war. 256 player game mode (domination) was intense for sure.

halo 2/3 of sureeee … the game actually meant you had to talk to and work with your team! i used to love playing high level slayer/SWAT, not a fan of the new one, True Skill is what made it for me as im highly competitive :D no teamwork anymore :(
after that, when i was first gaming all i played (apart from halo2/3) was Call of Duty World At War, actually got a legit 10th prestige in that one :) after that though i made a JTag and hosted modded lobbies :/ wooppppsssyyy (never played again then)

If I'm voting for the best, meaning quality wise I'm going with Battlefield. Call of Duty and Halo are more popular, etc. But I have to say quality wise Battlefield franchise is the best.

For PC, I'd vote for Battlefield. I played most of the classics like 1942, desert combat, Vietnam.
For Xbox, I'd definitely vote for Halo, the game-play and options are great, and IMO it has much less glitches than some of the other fps games. I liked halo on computer to, but I preferred BF.

Too bad tf2 is not in the list. I tend to choose for Quake but I played Timesplitters 2 so much more, just an EPIC game. Great gameplaying and best music.

Counter Strike > CoD in its current form.
CoD was brilliant but you have to take into account the shit piles that have been released since MW3, simply money grabs on Activision's part.
Anyway, hi im new here. ;)
