*Hacked*

Thought it was suspicious the way I was fishing lobs last time I was on and logged in today, stood in Lumbridge castle with *nothing* in my inventory (as opposed to the 3 items if I'd have died.)
CB lvl 80, had a bank worth about a mil and it's been totally cleaned out like literally nothing left in it. Not pointing any fingers but the Catherby fishing bot is the only new bot I have used.

Either way, just a heads up, bot carefully.

*Note* I do not use and have not used any other bots.

Hi, as creator of the Catherby fisher, I would like to ask you to read through the entire script and point me and the other users of the site on anything you might find fishy.

Thanks in advance.

Did you:
 • download anything runescape related of youtube?
 • share your account?
 • downloaded simba from a different source?

I didn't say I found anything fishy about the script mate, just that it's the only script I have used over the past few days.

Never, never, never.

In that case I sadly cannot support or assist you :(.

the bot may say your account details in-game if you start it up wrong. Have got 1 account hacked like this.

yeah i think you might be right you know, I nearly experienced that the other day and I might have not realised yesterday. Well in any case hopefully people will be wary of this!

Do you have the IP? Check C:\Simba\Includes\SRL\Logs\IPLogs

The bot does not press enter after typing the password, so that couldn't have been simba, next to that, it is impossable to say your own password in-game.

Did you download my script from an alternatife source other than my treat?

keerit

I noticed that aswell, and no, from your thread.

And that folder is empty?

It is very unlikely that Simba was the cause of you getting phished, do you still have all the script you used on your computer?

I think you should scan your machine with something like MalewareBytes or Combo-Fix - if you downloaded something odd - scan even if you think you didn't.

There are many clever phishing scams for 07 right now..

I confirm - even if it types it, it can't press Enter and even if it did - runescape blocks it - Simba's Login system moves mouse and clicks to login.

I scan my computer pretty often and I'm not on my usual computer at the moment but I will again when I'm home. And I realise this but it's the only thing I have associated with RS on my PC

IF it was the catherby fisher script that got you hacked, you should still have the script in your computer. And if you have not deleted or redownloaded the script, you can copy and paste the script here to show us the script, and let us check if the script writer had any codes that send your username and password to him.

Since the first post of the thread was edited today, script writer might posted a script version which has malicious codes, and wait until a few people downloaded it, and reupload a normal version. Bear in mind I have no offence towards the script writer, its just a way to clear the script writer's name, that he and the script is clean, and OP was hacked by another source.

That wouldn't be a wise thing to do considering that the admins probably have access to all uploaded files even if you take them down. The only problem would be a script with an auto updater

Well, it was just a way to find out IF he really does it. Personally don't think anyone that can script would need to hack someone's account though, especially someone which only have 1m bank, you can earn it back with catherby fishing easily lol. If you realize, even SRL members ranked people scammed someone and leave the community without caring to lose their accounts, so there's still a possibility.

Can all top scripters check and post their results here so we can just clear it out for him that it wasn't simba..

I saw nothing bad in the Catherby Fisher script here. You may have picked up something that your AV couldn't detect.

litoris

Post the script here, catherby fisher was edited/updated recently so the script on the post is no good.
You might have been phished, or you might have typed your user/pass in game like people said.

Not pressing "enter" is actually what puts your account in jeopardy, lets say my username is "player@a.com" and password is "password123", if the script tried to log you in twice, your account is out there:

1)types "player@a.com", presses enter, your login name appears in chat
2)types "password123", doesn't press enter, password remain in the chatbox
3)types "player@a.com" and presses enter, what appears in game: password123player@a.com

Thus, people get your user&pass…
