I believe they mean active accounts, not concurrent players.

Ah that makes more sense, I guess I just assumed they meant concurrent players because that's the important number in an mmorpg :)

They probably realize that saying that they have 80k people online at once doesn't sound very good.

Hopefully it'll reel in some more new players. I'm afraid that when our generation of RS players that joined 05-09 quit, there won't be much of a RS left.

When someone says 'online' That usually means concurrent players.
But yeah, maybe millions of players instead of millions of players online.
