I support teaching young people about guns, but how they are taught is important. I have been competitively shooting rifles since I was nine years old, and I was taught to be EXTREMELY cautious and safe with guns. If you're going to teach children about firearms, they need to be taught how to SAFELY use firearms, not just how to use them.

Ummm, I remember being five and having guns laying around the house, loaded and all. Most of my parents kids are still alive, none died from guns.
