DWT Iron Miner

This script mines iron at the Dark Wizard's tower and banks at Falador using the shortcut.
There's also an option for power mining.

Instructions:
- Set zoom settings to far left to only mine two rocks, else any zoom setting is fine.
- Choose either Banking or Power mining on the script.
- Level 5 agility is required for banking (you can get this in F2P too!).
- Start next to the iron rocks (*NEW* Start anywhere - requires Port Sarim lodestone)

Features:
- Banking (~15k xp / hr)
- Powermining (~20k xp)
- Action bar dropping *experimental*
- Basic failsafes
- Progress report
- World hopping (new!)
- Anti ban

Features to add:
- Suggestions?
- Urn support

Gratz on the official release ;)
I'm gonna post a little proggy soon

edit: Put that for proggy you need mining or total for XPbar1 :)

And this makes mouse jumpy: It moves mouse to iron rock, and then moves it again randomly.. Also legit miner doesn't use right click as much as left.
If FindObjCustom(x, y, ['ron'], [3491704, 3557754, 3755136, 3294324], 5) Then
begin
FindNormalRandoms;
StatsGuise('Found Iron');
Case Random(2) of
0: Mouse (x, y, 5, 5, True);
1: begin
Mouse(x, y, 5, 5, False);
WaitOption('Mine', 500);
end;
end;

But agility obstacle detection worked very nicely.. you have done good job with that :)

Hello, I was wondering if I did something wrong or what…. But I installed simba according to the youtube tutorial, and I upgraded my SMART to v8.0 manually and updated all my extensions. So I was hoping you could tell me if this is causing my script to shut down or if it was my internet connection…

I got it working now :) I was using bronze at the time with like level 30 mining or something… That same character is now at roughly 60 mining 5k-ish iron ore later with a rune pick axe…

Thanks man, this script is exactly what I was looking for. However I've been trying to run it for a little over an hour now with a few problems. I ran two loads that included a gem and when banking I would miss the ore and only bank the gem (I had to manually correct it otherwise I would have ran back to the mine with a full inventory)
I'm chalking that up to random error that isn't a big deal and won't happen too often.

The big problem that I'm running into is the log out failsafe. probably one in ten banking trips, I get caught on the fence with the message "Walking Closer to Shortcut" which results in the message "Couldn't click the wall" and a prompt log out. I noticed another poster was having the same issue, how would I go about fixing this? just lengthening the window of time to search for the wall? how do I locate that if you don't mind me asking.

Try the latest version (v2,2), I just uploaded it, it has a much more accurate procedure for finding and clicking the wall.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't seen that error with the gem, but I've updated the script a lot since then. Try out the new version, I just uploaded it. :)

If you want to increase the time to search for the wall, it's in the FindShortCut procedure.

Look for this line:
if timefrommark(counter) > 15000 then            //Change this one
begin
WriteLn('Failed to click the wall.');

I think I've already increased it since the previous version though, and it will search for the wall more than once if it fails to find it.

It's working much better for me now. However, now the regular walking sequence (either from port sarim or to and from the bank) is a little blocky and I can't find the wait counter to make it a bit more fluid.

Thief

Ahh yeah, that's the SPS walking. I'm not really sure how to make it so it clicks the next point before reaching the flag on the minimap.

I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with the FFlag(1); I'll try some other methods and see if I can make it more smooth

karatekid

2013-06-01 18:52:44

I've been running 2.1 with a longer wait near the wall for a good 10 hours and it has been performing perfectly.
I've been getting about double the xp/h rate compared to the current 2.2 version.

Thief

2013-06-01 22:48:23

Wow really? They're both about 15k/hr for me, and 2.2 always goes for 6hours. Is the running slower for you in v2.2 than in 2.1?

Sps does that by itself, if its not then you should use a better map

SPS_WalkPath does, SPS_BlindWalk doesn't. There's more than one way to use SPS :)

Yeah, 2.1 clicks the minimap before it gets to it's previous flag on the minimap. The only exception is at the wall, where it pauses for about the same time as 2.2.
It's been running for a good 20 something hours too. I'll redownload 2.2 and try it out again, it must be something on my end.

EDIT: Well, now 2.2 is walking the same as 2.1 and is much more fluid than the first time I used it. I'll be using this one now. Thanks man! In fact I'm getting twice as
much ore and exp now with 2.2

Nice glad it's working well :) That pause is the script looking for a DTM on the minimap, so it always checks you're next to the shortcut. You could probably remove it to increase speed, but it might reduce the accuracy.

Ahh lol. I haven't added any support for urns, I'll try and push an update sometime this week :). Is the action bar drop working well? I never really tested it cause I just wanted to bank the ores for gp :)

Yeah 2.2 is much more stable. I've made well over 20m and 85+ mining while making this script lol.

I recommend to set the zoom settings to far right because on v. 2.2 the guy stays between the 2 iron rocks of the right side and the far left zoom doesn't let him to see the left iron rock from the mine, so the mining it's more slowly

Thief

2013-06-04 09:09:01

Yeah, that will work better if you want to mine all 3 rocks. It's only really best zoomed in if there's another person mining there.

Great work, man! Today is the first time I've gotten the script to go for 6 hours straight without issue - not sure why, but it just decided to run perfectly today haha. Unfortunately the 6-hour thing stopped it, but thanks a lot for the hard work.
I'm powermining it, btw. I wish the xp/h was more like 20k/hr, but I'm happy either way if it keeps performing so well.

Thief

No, each time I've checked I've been mining alone. No worries though, it's not a big issue. I've had several more 6-hour proggies since then as well, it's been running great. Thanks for all your hard work. :thumbsup:

Hey man, thank you for the script; just been powermining there and it's good for the distance of banking.

One CC though - is it worth also mining the coal @ the site?

Thief

Yeah, I can add it to the main script if you like. I had an unreleased version that had the option to mine the copper and tin ores there too. I'll try and push an update this weekend. :)

It would also be great if there was a failsafe for crossing the wall, because for me it almost always derps out after an hour or so, and just stands besides the wall trying to cross it.

I seem to keep getting this error when running scripts, not only from this script but from other scripts as-well, I cant even get them to start-up.

I've tried to change the 8 at the top of the script (eg: {$DEFINE SMART8} ), as someone suggested but continued to not work properly then I get these errors;

[Error] C:\Simba\Includes\SRL\SRL\misc\SmartParams.Simba(78:8): Unknown identifier 'RSReady' at line 77
Compiling failed.

and also;

[Error] C:\Simba\Includes\SRL/SRL/misc/SmartParams.Simba(292:131): Invalid number of parameters at line 291

So is there anything I can do? Any help is appreciated!! :duh:

There's nothing you can do yet, most of the scripts aren't working due to RS3 being released.

I'll try and fix this when the new Smart version is released.
