Hi,
I almost have a flawless working catherby fisher, which is ready for launch, but I'm unsure if I should release it or not. Catherby is a very busy area with a lot of bots already. I am afraid that this script will increase ban-rates as it's very wanted.
I'd like your opinion about this, and I would like the opinion from knowledged people (not leechers).
Thanks in advance,
Jelk

Up to you, at the end of the day its your script. However some points to consider
- Not allowed antileech so alot of leechers would have access to the script.
- Alot of leechers would affect it your right. If you think your to a high enough standard then you could apply to mems and if you get awarded it then you could post it in the members section (but no offence but with 64 posts you would need a pretty elite script to get in :/)
Another option ofc is just to keep it to yourself. I'd probably do so but I don't really keep up with OSRS etc.
So to conclude, its YOUR script and YOUR choice. I would not judge (or really care) if you do or do not release it.

I'm aware it's my choice, but I am just curious what the rest of the community would think. thereby, I am aware I have a low amount of forum post, but I am quite knowledged when it comes to scripting. Thank you for your opinion through, geuss I'm going to get a little more familiar with the community first before considering releasing it.

My opinion is that you should do whatever you feel is right/will get you the most of what you want.
Keep in mind, any sort of positive notice it grants you by releasing a popularly desired script, also encourages many people with little to no knowledge to come to you with every problem, even those unrelated to your script. So keep that in mind, else you may see your thread start to look like WThomas' essence harvester.

Personally I would keep it to myself and try to get it up to standards to apply for membership. As for leechers you're right, the thread itself would turn into WThomas' Essence Harverster and have so many comments about the same problem that it would be hard to keep up with just the thread. But you will get a lot of credit if you do have it, your choice. Also, good job on making it :spot:

If you're worried about the ramifications of releasing a script, I would pretty much always recommend that you not release such a script.

I think i'm going to keep working on it untill there is litterally no bugs/glitches, and then release it with some big waits in it. It's not anti-leech as the script will still work without problems, but more like motivation to look into the actual script.
I've had it running for 4 hours getting ~190 lobbies p/h, so i don't want it to be used too much.

then dont release it until you are done with fishing … i have a fighter script that im using/working on and i'll release it once im done with it, by that point there should be next to no bugs at all! (hopefully) :)
