What affect will the graphics of RS3 have on scripting?

I have seen a few videos of the beta, but I'd like to hear from you guys, and your opinions. Will it be more difficult to script color bots in RS3?

I'm sure you will be able to use low detail just like we do now, so it shouldn't affect scripting too much, if at all.

Just set everything to fixed screen, lowest detail, etc. and it will like exactly the same (or very close to it). If anything I'd just just some quick minor tweaks will need to be done, unless the layout and theme changes a lot.

Jagex is keeping Java so I doubt anything will really change.

What correlation does Java and color have? :P

Simple. The Java version is highly unlikely to have very many changes applied to it, since they're going to be trying to get as many people as possible to use the new HTML5 version.

Ah, interesting. It's nice that they're keeping the similar layout. Now I wish they'd put the hp and armors back to the way they were pre-EOC. The abilities are fine, but I am maxed combat, and I'm losing to some low levels…

There's an update coming which splits armor into offensive, defensive, and hybrid types, as well as apparently making your stats count for more than they do now.

Uh more changes. As happy as I am that they are trying to do stuff and fix the game, I hate having to relearn what equipment do we need to use and where all over again. What's next?

World of Warcraft clone incomming.

more complex combat controls = Done
Customizable armor = in progress
custom key binding = Almost done
Multiplayer bosses(instance/raid) = Dunge
Charge more = done
Pay $$ for upgrades = half done
Retardedly high system requirements = half done

I think Jag will eventually weed out java completely leaving simba users to discover even more of the limits of Pascal based languages.

I don't think. It will change all that much honestly, I'm looking forward to the update as well, should make Pming interesting again :D

I don't understand what's the difference between java and HTML5

Even if it was a DRASTIC change, it would still be fairly manageable to recover.

Simple? I doubt it.. They've already proven this by adding a simple Navigation Bar..

The navigation is probably the only thing we have to worry about.

I don't think it'll stop simba in the longterm, but most likely in the shortterm.

Will probably enhance botting because it can detect objects within a larger range.
