It probably does, the graphics look amazing from the pictures.

"Sorry, you're not eligible for the Beta Programme". AKA I either use Safe mode too much or their computer spec monitoring program is telling them my hardware is too low-scale to run RS3 and they're probably right. That's too bad…

You could try to check the BETA forums on the rs website, where only beta accepted members can access and ask questions/get answers.

Im gonna be upset if I get the same thing when I get home :/

Good news! The NDA has been removed, although people are apparently "discouraged" from posting images yet, since it's a really early build.

just saw this as well :), Im guessing the guy who got banned was due to the bot client. Sad thing was that he had a partyhat as well.

Reddit says he's already unbanned, although people are predicting he'll be banned for botting soon.

But yeah, Im pretty sure a different Jmod would take the bot client thing mroe seriously and re-ban the account\

Time to upgrade my toaster for this game, I guess.

I am not massively impressed with he beta. Load times are about 3x longer (and make your entire screen go black), the added draw distance is really quite a small addition, the camera controls feel wonky… And to top it all off, the lighting is really quite ugly and makes everything look like is made of highly reflective plastic.

I rate it safemodeisbetter/10

I know it's a really small thing, but the water on the minimap looks absolutely terrible in the first picture. Everything else looks really good though.

Wow! The pictures are pretty stunning! and if this is just the beta :o and hopefully I won't need to upgrade my pc :3

The user stated that yes it was FPS 1 because he was uploading the image, screenshotting it, and had other programs running in his background, which may have caused fps to be that low.

I can confirm that the HTML5 beta has awful framerate all the time.

My rig can run Crysis at all high w/; AAx16, yet I average 10 fps in RS3. Either RS3 hates AMD videocards, is poorly optimized and such, or a mix of both

I would not be surprised if it's throwing most of the load on your CPU, rather than GPU.

I still should not be having trouble running a slightly OC'd i7.

And my CPU/GPU load never goes above around 40% for both while playing the beta

Anyways, I can't get onto it =/. I'm stuck at the loading screen before you get to the login screen >.>

Honestly with the bugs and stuff I am hearing from people and experiencing myself, it sounds more like an early alpha and shouldn't have seen a public release so soon.

The first is looking at Karamja from Ardougne, I believe, and the second is Pest Control. Looks like they've always been packed in really close, hidden because of the low draw distance before.

I really hope you can still use the OLD system graphics so that we can actually run the game and not gave to buy a new computer for it.

I'm not really impressed with the graphics. They can make it flashy all they want, the game is STILL suffering.

I found the rendering gifs to be pretty neat ^^

Tried to do some Dungeoneering on a old laptop I had with the BETA.
fps always stayed at 1

Tried it again on a newer HP laptop and ended up getting fps of 30

You can see lumbridge castle and draynor from the top of the wizard's tower, you can't even see th ground from up there in the live game.

the camera movements are very….laggy.
the graphical improvements are not as that great as i thought. it's just like an update to rs2HD

I would probably think much higher of such a feature if you could actually see the npcs/players on lower/higher levels, instead of everywhere but your plane being a ghost town.

The only gameplay thing I can think of that the update benefits is doing beacon runs (seeing if a beacon is still burning in the distance, etc)

All in all it was overhyped and released to the public way too soon. I still know of no one that can even run the beta at a consistent 30 fps.

Mod Mark said they will ad NPC's in the rendered area eventually, it's a beta version

Well if smart didn't already put a load on my processor then RS3 will straight up fry me. Hopefully the option is to run at low graphics similar to right now.

They are planning to keep the old graphics as well, which would mean a lot of hard work put into Simba will be saved hopfully and they understand most people don't have fancy computers so will lose a lot of money if they don't keep the core client.

Yeah, it's still in beta. They'll fix it later. I have the same problem.

Yup. Not sure why anyone would think it wouldn't, really.

Abilities are great but i hate that weakness triangle… I hoped maybe they remove that, lol

I have played RS3 quite a bit, but have stopped now because Dungeoneering, last I knew, was completely broken. However, everything looks great, and the animations look a lot better, much more realistic. This like the dynamic shadows don't add anything to gameplay, but make it very very laggy. On max settings in a papulated area (GE) I can get ~15-20 fps and in non populated area I an get ~20-25 fps.

It really looks great and I look forward to further optimization, but things I have reported as being broken (cutting Ivy for instance) still have not been fixed on RS3

My new HP is about 3-4 months old, The beta works perfectly fine on it ^^

you need to be a member, and there was already an application. they'll open up more spaces in the future though.

you dont need to be member, you just need to apply for it. premier members will be automatically included in the betas/alphas.

F2P was never allowed to sign for the beta
It was only available for Current paying members and those who bought the premier package
