So like.. I made a TRiBot script for Summer Sorc Garden in 07.

I wanted to release it to all SRL members, but I'm not sure how warm of a welcome a TRiBot script will get.

Would you guys hate me for it?

While I won't be using it (I don't play OSR) I don't see a problem with you releasing a TRiBot script here. I mean, it's not like we're on bad terms with the TRiBot staff or anything.

I second this word for word. Although I'd definitely be against any advertising I have no problem with a script being released for others to enjoy, especially when it was created by the work of one of our own.

Forgive me for my TriBot ignorance (I've never used it), but what format do the scripts come in?

Can you read the code, like a .simba, or would it be something closed source? I trust you and all, but I'm not sure what the rules are on posting closed source scripts if they're not for Simba.

It takes .class files, but you can distribute the source separately as a .java file and let people compile it themselves.

Tribot has a forums, just post it there. Even how closely affliated we are, I highly think is is inappropriate for us to start posting tribot/pbot/osrbot

I don't see why it's inappropriate for someone to post a TRiBot script here if the intention is for only SRL Members+ to have access to it.

Hmmm, I am not sure if it would fit in this community if you released the .class files. The .java files however are a certain yes from me.

I'd be fine with it.
I would not suggest releasing it to the general public.

If it is for srl members+ then I am completely fine with it. However if this idea is for public viewing, then the line has been clearly crossed.

slushpuppy he said in the first post he wants to release it for SRL members.

I say why not, just post the .java files and allow users to compile it themselves. I would actually like to look at what a tribot script actually looks like as I've never used their client

With proper obfuscation you won't be able to read back much. In the time it takes to de-obfuscate it you could've written your own script easily :P

I am not going to decompile bytecode and call it equal to opensource.
