Did anyone else who signed up get accepted?

I've got access. Will RS3 completely replace RS2 with no option to play RS2 style sometime in the next months?

All items/stats will be transferred from RS2 to RS3

So it all depends on the feedback we (the ones who got in) give back to jagex.
If its good feedback, then the release of RS3 would eventually replace the current game play
If its not good feedback, there should be a delay to RS3, but just like they rushed EOC, I dont think they're gonna delay RS3 access to everyone

You get the email in your inbox/spam folder notifying you if you got in or not

Are you guys under an NDA, or can we expect lots of updates all over the place from all the people in the Beta?

Is the beta only open to P2P players?

I didn't want to sign up as Im too busy and have been botting lately to get my last few 99's before the rs3 is released. I just hope it doesn't get rushed, but knowing the history with them, they will release it FULL of bugs.

Yeah, that was the problem with the EoC, not many people actually gave feedback. I guess the idea is that players will feel more privileged here and feel more compelled to leave feedback. Maybe some kind of live game reward?

Yea I guess that would motivate people to give more feedback. I just think that the same thing will happen where people will just get a set or an item for playing the beta rather than for giving feedback to them. That's what happened in EoC, you just had to attend one of the events in game and you'd receive a piece of the set. It would be better where the people selected to participate in the beta also had to answer a few multiple choice questions with an optional written response where if they wanted to add anything extra. Maybe people shouldn't be forced to give feedback but it should be one of the things you agree to when signing up.

I thought RS3 was simply a graphical overhaul, not Eoc v2 or anything.

Isn't RS3 just Java-HTML5?

It is a graphical overhaul - that I think means all our code needs to be changed to handle.

Edit: Note the "think" - I haven't looked at it, but I assume lowest graphical settings are different from current lowest.

I believe that it's also supposed to be launching with two new skills.

New skills are due in the summer so I guess that's maybe when the rs3 gets pushed?

Nope, we aren't under any NDA

Yes it is too late, registration closed last week

Beta should be released later today
