What is the best bot of all time in runescape?

Autorune[direct server interaction]
Ayran[someone fill me in]
Ibot?[injection]
Nexus[reflection]
Rsbot[injection]
Rid
Tribot[Opengl]
Runedream
Rsbuddy[reflection]
Autofighter[no idea]
Epicbot[injection]

Let me know if I got some facts wrong, and I am not counting any OSR bots

I assume (excluding AR) this list is limited to RS2 programs? If not then you're missing quite a few titles. Of the RS2 bots listed I'd say Aryan; I was always a fan. Indeed I've had a couple of accounts banned from it as well.

Could be but it has been proven that, when updates happen in Rs, Epicbot comes up faster and it gives everyone a random ID. Well this ID is the same one you get for powerbot which updates after epicb…

As i recall, nexus and ibot were the same. ibot from impsoft… which was nexus… which was the snellman brothers.
As with the majority of people before, im going with nexus. That thing was beautiful. Scripts were… I cant even begin to say how great/awesome they were. The only downfall was the cost of them. I bought 10 total, ranging from combat to RC. All training ones, never goldfarming/money making ones though really.

Oh, that sucks. Funny how Jagex can't get PB down though.

So from what I hear, Nexus was a miracle bot. Did all the scriptors/developers just abandon it after it fell? Seems like they were a talented bunch.

When Jagex won, Impsoft was required to turn over all of their user and developer information. Trying to revive a project that had just been successfully sued when your information had been turned over to the guys doing the suing would have been…stupid, to say the least.

The client was no longer accessible/allowed to be used + bot nuke happened which brought down all injection bots.

Scripters from Nexus moved onto RSBuddy, when that was abandoned, some moved onto script for powerbot.
There used to be around 10-20 script writers for nexus, around 5 joined rsbuddy, and now there about 2-3 left on powerbot.

I liked these bots.

- Autorune/Runebot (Easy scripting and a really fast bot)
- Sbot and all the other equal bots
- Aryan (Awsome bot just 90% or so chance of getting banned >_<)
- Kbot (No clue why this one isn't listed…great bot with awesome anti random's one of the best imo)
- Nexus (Great scripts but anti randoms not so much however got some great 130+hours progys with autofighter and a couple 3 days with that pro runecrafter script)

RSBuddy had the cleanest (in terms of standards), most intelligent developers and were also the least greedy (the premium scripts were cheap). And the community was great… And I was Staff so I'm ever so slightly biased. :P

However… Nexus always had the most reliable scripts! And of course they NAILED the web walking! AND THAT SLAYER BOT. Was nursing a semi watching that bot run for the first time.

So it was a tough call!

I used RSbot some where back between 2008-2009, the Revived Caviak Script was the best script ever made in my opinion, was perfect, am trying to make something like it for Simba.
With that said, it was basically the only great script on it, the rest were just average or above average, also it got me a two week ban on my noob.

I choose my best Bot client as RsBuddy, it was the only client i pretty much trusted to leave overnight on two different accounts to do any activity, i trained one account from level 3 to 84 using Rsbot in 2008 on hobgoblins at the goblin mines in f2p wildy, and then again at 2011 i trained it in some odd 3 months from level 82 to level 123 and 79 summong and its got enough charms for 85 summoning.
I trained for 3 months at the Ice warriors inside the Chaos tunnels with Guthans, the fighter would switch to Guthans when it got below a certain amount of Hp then switch back to my normal gear, i almost never repaired my guthans + it picked up all charms and good loot and alched a lot of the items, it was brilliant, i pretty much maxed melee at that spot and got no ban, the auto summoning script was flawless, auto guild altar flawless, everything was flawless.

But the best part was the IdungenPro, to this day i have no clue how DG works, but i got 91 on my main and 80 on my noob from the script my friend bought and gave me the info for, it would do single Cs6 and then reset ring, just flawless, i wanted all the f2p dg items for Pkri's, and i got them.

I found no bot that compared to it, its free script were amazing and perfect, updated frequently just one issue i had with it: Silent hackers.

At one point i was using the DG bot and then i got Ddosed out of no where, and some dude went on my account, i was lucky had bankpin and never put it into rsbuddy, after that happened i pmed my friend on irc my pw and told him to change it without telling me the new pw then formatted and never used Rsbuddy again (Finished all that i needed from both accounts so didn't need it anymore and retired from rs), other than the odd Ddos/hacking Cases, it was perfect, Auto agility for every course auto thieving auto fletching.. It had a script for EVERYTHING and they all worked perfectly and most were free.

In 3 months i trained an account with 84 Cmb and some 800 overall to 123 F2p/133 p2p with an odd 1500 Overall, maxed all necessarily skills (70 cooking, 53 thieving etc.. Just skills needed for quests that are important, i never skilled).

i had a load from perfectus a few years back, multiple 99's, a load of money made and loads of 85+ slayer acccounts.

only thing i did wrong was i had 1 account banned at the start of my botting in SW, but that was my fault really … it had been going for over a week :p aha

i just loved leaving slayer running for few days and coming back to close to 1m xp gained … and then moving on to abysal demons for 1.5m gp/hr until maxed melee and range.

literally havent been on runescape since the fall of nexus until i read about the oldschool server a few days ago, hopefully some more 99's to come :p

Must be Aryan because of it's legacy: most subsequent java bots (including rsbuddy, powerbot, Nexus/iBot and that bot from RSD which powerbot v1 was based on) used the scripting structure of Aryan. I gotta dig a bit in my memory but iirc a lot of the first good scripts for powerbot were actually ported Aryan scripts.
Aryan worked btw by decompiling and deobfuscating the client, then modifying it. That's also how it got killed: Jagex upped the obfuscation big time and added lots of modification checks.
That Chinese bot, RSDemon, most likely impacted the RS community the most because it lead to 2007-12-10 and has since been the only rs2 bot you could run 50+ clients with at one computer. It had an incredible ban rate, but in those few days it could run before you got banned, it already raped yews like no other.

Eh a handfull of scripters put malicious code in that did things like make people trade them all their stuff if they entered and said a code word and stuff like that, I don't think the entity in itself hacked people.

Rsbuddy was excellent, more specifically:

idungeon was a wonderful script that ran fairly flawlessly (for myself actually) Andys Frost dragon killer was also a fabulous script that brought me many profits!

I loved rsbuddy, i bought a bunch of premium scripts until i got screwed over with the bot nuking. Im just glad I wasnt one of the ones that got banned.

There is no better bot other than Simba imo. Maybe Autoit but its not a rs bot. 90% of the other rs bots either hack you or get you banned or cost you money.

Autofighter was just a re-seller o Nexus, though they claim to be releasing there own "new" bot client soon…

Autoit?

I don't like that community, they name their program autoit, but then don't allow people to post anything about macroing on their site. I'm pretty sure to even use that program you would have to write tons of includes, because by default it can only click colors, nothing advanced

Scar was my official first, followed by Kbot (RSBot now I think), then RSbot after a break, then RSbuddy, then another break and Simba.

RSBuddy was my favorite since it seems I missed Nexus :(

hahahaha I laughed hard at this.

I wish I would have used Nexus, but really there were so many other bots out there that you could run pretty flawless I never had a reason to look for a better bot. For me Rsbuddy was crazy good. I remember turning that dungeoneering script on before I went on vacation and when I got back it was still running.. That was before it went premium. Me along with my friends pretty much botted max pker accounts. Botted overnight every night.

I'm really curious to see if bots will ever be as successful as they were during that golden age for 07.

I've only recently started botting and coming back to rs myself within the past 5 months so I've only had experience with Simba.

But I remember when I was a kid in 2003-2004 and watching one of my friends use a bot that I believe was AutoFighter. I remember being amazed that the computer was playing for him! When I was that age I was way too scared to bot on my account because of the chance of a ban. :D

So true, I thought that the moment I visited a botting site my pc would be filled with trojans and my acc would either be perma banned or hacked. I'm still like that though :p but I trust Simba and this site.

Anyone care to explain Nexus? I have not heard of it before. :D
