Why Bankstanding?

Over the past year or so, we have been noticing an increasing number of players spending their time standing in both the banks and the Grand Exchange. These numbers have persuaded us to go on and make the new skill: Bankstanding.
RuneHQ:
What was the process of making Bankstanding into a skill?
Mod Stander:
We sat in our conference room and talked to our Runescape Team, and finally came to an understanding of how we can tackle this task. It was a bit complicated at first, but we were able to break it down and make it happen.
RuneHQ:
Who initially came up with the idea?
Mod Stander:
One of our J-Mods made a trip to the bank. When they came back, they told us the story of how they were standing in line for a crucial amount of time! We thought of how our members could relate to this skill: Bankstanding - in both RS and the real world. With our research, we gathered what our members do in Runescape on a daily basis and we knew this would be a really good idea.
RuneHQ:
How long did it take to create the skill and everything that comes with it?
Mod Stander:
The skill was being considered for about a year now, but we have only been working on it for a few months.
RuneHQ:
How does Jagex plan on preventing Bankstanding bots?
Mod Stander:
We have implemented a system for the Bankstanding skill banks. Before and during the time spent skilling, a random code will be generated for the player to solve. If the code is not solved within one minute, the player will be kicked from the bank and not allowed to gain EXP until they re-enter.

What do you think the Runescape community will have to say about the new skill?
Mod Stander:
We think they will love it! Based on what we have seen, they love the changes we have made to Runescape so far!

When will the skill be released?
Mod Stander:
It is a surprise! So, keep an eye on the latest Runescape News.

Is this a permanent addition?
Mod Stander:
Yes. Just like EoC, it is here to stay.
RuneHQ:

Mod Stander:
